Amnesia [DVD] [2004]

"Amnesia" is a British television series with a strong cast, including John Hannah, Jemma Redgrave, Anthony Calf, and Brendan Coyle. There is a useful supporting role for Patrick Malahide. For this type of movie, the cast is quite suitable, and each lead actor is worth watching.Hannah tends to drain the last bit of emotion out of his role, as Mack, an apparently failed husband but a dogged detective who is convinced that his instinct and experience make him certain of his conclusion to the true identity of a serial killer. The other actors, especially Jemma Redgrave as an unsuspecting wife, but also Anthony Calf as the main focus of Hannah's investigation, and Coyle as Hannah's friend, sidekick and erstwhile critic (but one who possesses a secret).The whole makes for quite absorbing watching as the various plots unfold. The main narrative, whilst a little ponderous at times, eventually reaches an understandable denouement, and a rapid conclusion. The latter is quite satisfying, but there is a twist in the tale. Watch the series, enjoy its more engrossing moments and some solid acting, but do not be too hasty in guessing the ending.

A brilliant little thriller and thought the cast were quite good.

Don't remember seeing this on TV at the time and pleased to add it to my collection of 'detective' films. The acting is excellent, so many good actors/actress with a cracking storyline. I can recommend it to anyone who likes a good detective story with a few twists.

Very good performances from all the actors, and a clever plot kept me glued to the screen (not literally)I especially loved Anthony Calf as the very believable anti hero
