I got this Blink wireless cam for my part of my house that needed coverage. (Plus, it was on sale! Thank you, Amazon!) I now have four Blink wireless security cams exactly like this, all protecting me and my house. There are not enough words in any language to express how these cameras have saved my life and lifestyle. They have given me complete and total peace of mind. These wireless cams are so so so easy. Yes, I have to replace batteries once in awhile. Not a problem. However, I simply position each camera where it is easy for me to get up and bring it down. I have, of course, my membership with Amazon Blink. This gives me a nice cloud service - an app - and 24/7 monitoring. Anyway, so yes, sometimes I have to change batteries. This gives me a chance to clean the unit - dust it off - and polish the lens anyway. The batteries last me for a few months. My cams are armed 24/7. One impressive feature about these wireless cams is the body style and material. I live in an incredibly volatile weather area of the US. Horrific weather patterns. Cold. Extremely hot. Super sturdy. Yes, these cams have a limit as to temp tolerance. But I have never had a problem even in extreme heat and cold. It takes me (start to finish) about 3 minutes to bring the camera down - pop in new batteries - clean and dust it off- and put it back up. Recently, a security company solicited me for off site remote surveillance. They gave me an estimate of $7,000 for the cam install. Plus, monthly fees. I just laughed. These wireless Blink cams offer me 24/7 monitoring. And they're simple to use. Plus, I'm in control. Nobody else. Yes, these are motion activated only. Exactly perfect for my property. Of all the third-party Blink camera mounts available, this design is perhaps the simplest and most elegant. Rather than completely replacing the mount that was supplied with the Blink camera, this model has a slot which accepts the base of the standard mount, essentially like a pocket. The mount can easily be slid out of the holder if you need to change the camera’s battery or clean the lens. Unfortunately, and as others have already mentioned, the adhesive on these mounts does not seem to hold up in hot weather, which is certainly an issue for outdoors installations. It appears that the adhesive being used is not 3M VHB but rather a much poorer-performing knock-off. A permanent installation on a wall, etc. can be achieved by completely peeling off the adhesive from the backside of the mount and then affixing the mount using epoxy glue. I used J-B KwikWeld Quick Setting Steel Reinforced Epoxy (available on Amazon as well as most home improvement retail stores), securing the mount in position using painter’s tape while the glue cured overnight. The tape was then removed and the mount was ready for use. Also note that the base of the original camera mount may not fit firmly into the pocket and can slide around slightly. To create a snug fit, I cut and trimmed the lid from a plastic soup container to make a thin flexible plastic spacer. I placed this into the pocket as a backing before inserting the original camera mount base, and the loose fit problem was solved. In summary, if you need a reasonable Blink camera mount and are willing to take on a minor DIY project with epoxy glue for a durable outdoor installation, this product fits the bill.

These little things work well for a super fast setup. A little empty space that allows a little wiggle but it's ok

mostly good! I put them up about 3 weeks ago and 2/3 have stayed up but unfortunately one came down. could be user error or bad placing. Wish they sold them in 1 packs!

Prefect and easy to install, mine I have one on brick on the front of the house outside 2 on metal also outside holds great so far in summer and winter weather no issues so far. Great price and quick saves from drilling holes. Would recommend only when out of reach so camera can’t be stolen.

Adhesive failed within 2 days damaging camera

I am on holiday and was shocked to be notified of activity in my lounge. A break in? No, my camera falling off!

These work just like they say they do. Suggest cleaning the surface first to ensure good adhesion. They held the camera well, so far only tried in the winter and it’s great. Easy remove backing so no difficulty putting on. A bit sticky when you remove it and I had to get my husbands help.

Very sticky. Lasted two years outdoors and through -50 with ease, when I went to go pull them off, they were still extremely adhesive, although, with a scrapper were easy to get off and left no residue or pieces behind. 10/10 would recommend
