Cheap thin plastic
Lasted 1 year, replaced batter and mounting brackets broke. Bought brand new first alert alarms no hassle. Safe you self some bicks and spend a little more.

Great for traveling
Got this for staying in airbnb's throughout Europe. Wasn't sure of the rules about detectors there. This is nice and small. Layy it on the table and have a little peace of mind.
