The Great Life Paddle works well in its class. It’s affordable and stylish. It’s especially great for beginners who want to learn the game. It’s lightweight and easier on the wrist than other paddles I’ve tried. I chose the dark green one because of the contrast of colors makes it more aesthetic. Great investment piece to convince a newbie to come out and play :)

TLDR:This is a nice beginner paddle. Great value, great looks, and better than most cheap sets or knockoffs you can find here or everywhere else.Overview:With so many pickleball paddles out there, it can be hard to decide on one when you're just starting out. I own several and wanted one to use as a loaner for times when I'm bringing out friends who want to try pickleball. I think this paddle is a great option in the $30-40 range, and has enough to get you started on the path to growing your pickleball skills.Performance:Decent control overall, but very good for this price range. The sweet spot seems to be a decent size and shots are fairly consistent. Of course it won't be as nice as some paddles that cost many times this price, but it's one of the better ones I've tried at this price range. There's not a lot of grip on the surface for spin, though that may not matter as much when just starting out. The vast majority of paddles at this price won't have enough grip for spins anyway. The handle is elongated, which is great for two handed backhands and those coming from racket sports like tennis or badminton with longer handles. It is "flatter" however, which might not matter for the more common grips but which may feel off for others. There's also not as much shock absorption, especially vs foam injected paddles, which is part of the tradeoff for being a thinner and lighter paddle. So it "feels" thinner too on contact, if that makes any sense. Power is sufficient. It will not hit as hard as nicer paddles, but it's more than enough for a beginner.Looks:The overall look is fantastic and tasteful! (I got so excited I took a picture before I took off the plastic). I love the retro vibe and color combos. Many paddles look either cheap and have cheesy designs, or look industrial (all black) or have a more "boring" design. I'd say this paddle excels in this area for those who are going for a more retro vibe and classy look. Personally, it's not a huge area of concern for me as I care more about performance (which is also great at the price range for this paddle), but it's a nice bonus!Conclusion:Looks great, feels nice, great value for a beginner! It may not hold up to nicer paddles for those who are more intermediate level and on, but the Great Life paddle is one I'd recommend as a first paddle.(I won this paddle, but after trying it out several times, it's the one I'd recommend the most at this price point for my beginner friends compared to many others I've tried before).

Okay this is the cutest paddle. I got the peachy pink and I am obsessed. It is made very well and the wrap gives a comfortable grip for sure. Can’t wait to up my game with my new paddle!!!!!

I’m new to pickleball and I just ordered this paddle… used it several times already and I’m in surprise… it’s super lightweight and at first I thought maybe it was cheap but it’s actually very durable and I like the design of it as well and I feel like i got a good value for my money! Definitely would recommend to others to buy these paddles.

I'm new to pickleball and not an expert, but here are my thoughts on the paddle: The paddle itself is lightweight yet feels comfortable and sturdy to hold; however, I noticed the surface of this paddle is smooth but not a textured surface like the other two a little more expensive paddles. I think the texture helps with the spin so the smoother surface maybe this one is not as good as the other two. It does comes with a protective cover which is nice.
