The best book of the last three...
This book is, IMO, the best of the last three books. The characters are written to be more "real" and less "wooden"/robotic, making for a more relatable story. Also, the action is higher.It appears as though things between the Commonwealth, Spacers, and New Men are coming to a head, so the next couple books should be pretty interesting.Finally, there are the Hierarchy, Swarm, Mastermind, and, potentially, the resurgence of the Builders (or a remnant proxy of theirs) floating around in the background. Oh, and I forgot about the Yon-Soth... The series has a lot potential ground to cover, thus is alive and well.Recommended.

Grate 📚
Grate read. Full of action and intriguing throughout the book. There are lots of interesting planets visited and plenty of science.

An excellent continuation to the series.
This was an excellent continuation to the series. Maddox in Star watch find themselves and upheaval. Maddox must find a way to save his grandmother. In doing so has created a possible strong Ally. I eagerly await the next book..

Lost Starship Succeeds!
Captain Maddox may just be the best character ever written about in Sci-fi history! Series book 21 verifies this time and time again. His genios, intellect, and his luck may be the key to Earth’s ability to survive the many dangers waiting ahead! I heartedly recommend this great series to ‘everyone’ who enjoys fantastic quality Sci-fi!

21 installments in, and the author is still going strong. The amazing thing is that the stories are just as compelling as when he was just embarking on this enterprise. Keep going strong, Mr. Heppner.

Fantastic Story Telling is Best Book Yet !!
Maddox just can’t catch a break on Earth or in Deep Space. Lots of interesting evil characters seem to occupy multiple spiral arms of the Milky Way Galaxy. This time they work together to destroy Maddox, Starship Victory, and Earth, all because of the stupid Spacers and their ever clumsy meddling. A+ story becomes A+Mega++ if you add in the INCREDIBLE AUDIBLE READ-ALONG done in style by Mark Boyett. Worth a triple listen !!

Using Ancient Eldrich Artifacts Never Ends Well
An enjoyable one. The long awaited invasion begins. But before the fleets are launched a series of decapitation strikes are launched. Leviathan gets cute and uses ancient eldrich artafacts to help in the assassinations. Naturally things get out of hand. Good fleet actions and Maddox has to make compromises to achieve victory. He is also faceing difficulties now that those who can't stand his ways of doing things are in the hot seat. Being right and saving the day repeatedly isn't enough for them. In fact that and his heritage is what they seem to hate the most. Looking forward to the next moves in this series.
