Moldex Softies Uncorded Earplugs - 200 Pairs 200 pairs

This item is fairly difficult to find. The company itself is currently out of stock. Glad I was able to find these on Amazon. One box lasts me about 7 years. These fit well, stay in place fairly well, and block out sound great. I ordered on June 2nd and received on June 20th.

I first became acquainted with these ear plugs while riding in a noisy Beaver in Alaska and was impressed with how well they reduced the engine noise and they are easier to install than other foam plugs and they are more comfortable.

I use these when I go shooting. I have been using them for years and continue to be happy. Recently I read a review that suggested to moisten the earplug with saliva when inserting them. This trick really works. It both helps make it more comfortable, and creates a better seal to help better block out the sound. I highly recommend these earplugs.

Compared to the green Moldex Pura-Fits I have been using for years, these are more comfortable due to less expansion pressure being applied to the ear canal. However, they cannot be reused as many times as the Pura-Fits, as the foam seems to break down more quickly (when they wear out, the noise isolation is less effective). When new, the noise reduction seems comparable to the Pura-Fits.

I use earplugs for shooting and my wife uses them so she won't shoot me due to snoring. They have saved our marriage. In all seriousness these earplugs are simply the best there is. They are wrapped in pairs so you can throw them in a carry on for the plane and they really cut down the noise. I use them whenever I am on an international flight where I have to sleep. The trick to using them is to roll them up into a tight cylinder and then fit them carefully into your ear canal. If you get them in right you could sleep in the middle of Times Square and not be bothered by noise (not that you would want to). I buy these by the case and have never found anything better. Everyone I have given them to for a trial loves them. Not much to say about earplugs but these are truly a simple, perfect product.
