I received a dehydrator as a gift months ago, and it sat on the kitchen counter unused because I just didn't think I would find the process easy or appealing. I am kicking myself I didn't start sooner, and this cookbook is the reason.The information is laid out in such a manner that you can simply follow along and make delicious food in no time at all. The tips and tricks have me feeling like a seasoned chef in the kitchen, and already I have made some killer treats everyone loves. I've already made treats from strawberries, cucumbers, pears, cranberries, and carrots. I discovered using meat from the freezer is a no-no, it is best to get fresh chicken or ham, and get to work.My new hobby is seeing what type of jerky I can trick the family to eat before I tell them it was duck, deer, or goose! Huge rave for this book!

This book is a wealth of information! I thought It was going to be recipes, but it is filled with tips, tricks and everything you need to get started dehydrating. It not only shares how to select your dehydrator if you don't have one, but how to store the food, monitoring, storing and so much more. There is so much more that one can do with a dehydrator than I thought. Thanks to this book I now have a new hobby. It was a bit more reading than I anticipated.

I especially want to note that I like the fact that there are different dehydration processes with one product, it changes the taste of the product. Not just boring slices.There are no pictures in the book, but the value of the information in it completely covers the missing pictures

I never thought dehydrating foods could be so interesting, I started a couple of months ago, and I can't stop. There are a lot of useful tips in this book, I now store dehydrated food differently, it turned out to be very important how to store it, the children really like the fruit and leather as a snack. My husband has tried a couple of marinades for jerky, they are good. I am satisfied.
