The shade is a good value. The material is a bit thin so the ends of the metal top piece can be seen through the shade, but the shade is still nice.The shipping packaging was bad. The two shades were stuffed into a box far too small and with no packing material. The shades were dented and had to be returned.

This shade is exactly what I needed. It’s made very well and I would definitely order again.

I liked the look of the shade during the day. The gold inside is why I bought this but it is thick paper and does not allow any light penetration at all. The light only comes out the top and bottom of the shade. I am returning because I want light to come through the shade as well.

These lampshades far surpassed my expectations! They are beautiful, well made, came carefully packed and on time. A quality product!

Had a difficult time finding a shade large enough diameter, but only 10" high - taller or less wide looked horrible. (replacing a 17" x17" x 10" drum). This was a good replacement, although more than I wanted to spend.

This is a gorgeous lamp shade -- beautiful materials and made well. However, AMAZON SMASHED IT TWICE. I ordered this shade after looking everywhere for these dimensions and quality. When the first box arrived I opened it to find the shade was placed in the box on it SIDE with no packing materials, just rolling back and forth in a long rectangular box. I was so disappointed because the shade itself was really nice and it turned out it was exactly the right size and fit.Initially, I tried to press out the dent and steam it to see if the dent would release. The dent was too sharp. I packed the shade up and included a note in the return box that lampshades cannot be packed on their side. I then ordered replacement. Second box arrives -- open it -- lampshade was again on its size with an even bigger DENT -- 4" to 5" inches in both directions. This dent was so severe that I did not even attempt to steam it. I am so frustrated -- who is so clueless as to pack a lamp shade on its SIDE, let alone not use packing materials, and no labels on the box that it contains fragile goods.... Amazon is costing this poor manufacturer a fortune in damaged returned goods!!

This red lampshade was on another lamp I had and it was beautiful! Then I found my 30 year old Mickey Mouse lamp/phone that had been stored. The shade that was on this lamp was tattered and faded. This red lampshade made the 30 year old Mickey Mouse lamp/phone look brand new!

Just what I needed for a special lamp. Chose it for the off-white (lt. cream) color as white was too stark, and the fine linen-look covering. First one came damaged. Easily returned and replaced with perfect one.

ryI debated on the price but this lampshade elevates the look of entire my living room. It looks really sharp!It did have a very slight bend so, it wasn't perfectly circular but, it was nothing that needed fixing—it was VERY slight—and it is positioned on a curved wall.I have a tri-light + globe bulb and with all the bulbs lit—it does let some light through—but the light it emits—it glows!I have to say every day that I turn it on—I still love it—it makes my room look like I live in the 21st century and have a trust fund! Hehe!I would recommend this to anyone. ♥

I ordered this contemporary drum lampshade to update my wrought iron floor lamp. The shade arrived damaged. I asked for a return and Royal Designs immediately sent me instructions for returning the damaged shade and they promptly sent me a new one. The shade looks great. The service was excellent.

This lamp shade is not made with premium gold fabric hardback lining as described, it’s made with light brown cardboard.

I liked that the shade covered the 5 candle-like light bulbs. This was my Mom & Dad’s lamp & I wanted to continue to use it but just upgrade the look from 1950 to present day.

I liked the price of this used item; however, I may not have ordered it if I had known about all the dents.
