The Waghalter Tales by Simon Howard is a magnificent, poetically beautiful written story, with unique and wonderful storytelling that captured me from the beginning of the story and I had an enjoyable time reading the book. I love the masterful rhythm and rhyme of the story and the pace and flow of the story were pure magic. The Waghalter Tales is a brilliant and wonderful book to read and I highly recommend the book. 5 Stars.

Eerie tales for those who enjoy the darkness
What a spectacular use of rhyme and rhythm to create an incredible, eerie story intended to spook you with its dark side! Be prepared to cuddle with your stuffed bear in a darkened room with a flashlight to help you set the mood for this perfect horror tale. What will happen in Waghalter’s tale? A creepy ride you will take with Freddie, Pandy, and Jake when you open the pages of The Waghalter’s Tales.

A Dark, Time Travel Adventure
If you like Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids and/or Horrible Histories, then you should like this rhyming ghost tale.I've given it 5 stars but its not perfect. Poetically the rhythm is a little off at times but that's to be expected when writing such a long story in rhyme. As for the story, it's very good, has some nice twists and eerie moments but it's a tad unbelievable and I don't mean the ghost and time travel aspects. I mean the actions certain people choose to take under the circumstances they are presented. However I'm an adult and whilst this book gets more than a little dark at times, it is clearly meant for kids. Who are perhaps more able to suspend disbelief or less able to see potential pit falls in a plan.Anyway, very enjoyable if you like the macabre.
