I certainly didn’t expect a high metal rosary for $9 but I do have some problems with it. The beads are chipped in places where the coating has come off, the chain doesn’t feel smooth to pray with like my other rosaries, and lastly there are elements to the rosary that was not shown on the pictures. There is writing on the back of the cross that says “Jerusalem”. While others may like this feature I do not because I like to rub my thumb over the back of the cross while praying and I don’t like the texture of the writing. It’s a small issue but I wish I knew before purchasing.I also hate thinking about the Palestine/Israeli conflict while praying to the point I sanded off the wording on the back to I wouldn’t have to feel or see it while trying to do my prayers.

The pictures are very true to form. The Rosary is very pretty and well made. I would expect to pay more for it. The Hematite beads and antiquated chain are great combination. On the back of the center bead is "Terra Jerusalem" Soil of Jerusalem. The other side is Our Lady and Son. It comes with a Rosary Pouch for safe keeping and carrying with you safely. This Rosary has metal beads, with a copper-like finish to all the parts.I tend to like metallic Rosaries, and this one is comfortable to pray with.The set comes with a small case that fits the Rosary snugly. The crucifix and center Mary medals are small but beautiful.The Amazon listing does not give pictures or other info regarding the "Jerusalem Holy Soil" part of the item title, but if you flip the center Mary medal over you will see what looks like a soil collection, and the lettering "TERRA JERUSALEM". I have another Rosary that claims to have Jerusalem soil, and that is how it is done.The Rosary did come with a disconnection in the chain at an Our Father bead, but I was able to reconnect that and tighten up the chain loop there at the bead with a pair of tweezers to avoid that slipping out again.This would make a good First Communion gift, though I'd give those chain loops in the Our Father beads a look-over to see if any need a little tightening.

It is beautiful, smooth to the fingers and sure would raise a heart up for prayers.
