AKNES|GuliKit Hall Effect Joysticks for Steam Deck OLED

Better than stock. I think I had issue anyways but I got them because I have disposable income. And I'm a fan of hall effect sticks. Once again a personal opinion. Do you need to get these, Nope. They do seem to be an improvement over stock. And basically my deadzone is set to the lowest setting on the slider which I believe is 2000. Now install was a breeze. Calibration was slightly a pain. Because mine needed a little adjustment you have to press this small button to Calibrate them. While it was a pain I was obviously got them so my deadzone is completely set to the minimum level. So can you live without them yeah. If yours are broken then for sure go with these over stock. And if you just want them, I think they are a nice upgrade over stock.

Worked great for a Steam Deck OLED, feels like OEM. No modifications required. Took maybe 15 minutes start to finish Didn't come with any tools but for the price and number of 5 star reviews I'd rather that vs taking a chance on an alternative kit just because it came with a 25 cent screwdriver and plastic pry bar.

install was simple enough, if you've swapped the ssd on yours i'd say this install is even easier. calibration using konsole in desktop mode is a breeze and i have no complaints on functionality. only removing a star because by default the wire attaching the thumbstick to the pcb on mine was catching on the stick, causing the stick to "click" when doing a full 360. adjusting the wire fixed it for me but i do worry about it moving back to a position where it catches again.

Easy to install and no need to calibrate. These feel better and work amazingly. Highly recommend!

The first pair of these I ordered did not function at all and gave all kinds of crazy readings when trying to calibrate. The seller replaced them for me no problem, but the replacement turned out to be a dud too. I barely used them at all and had to switch them back out with the originals because I needed to send my Steam Deck in for repairs. When I got it back and reinstalled the GuliKit sticks, I encountered all kinds of problems. The sticks were drifting, the R-bumper button stopped working, and the right track pad was registering incorrect touches. I put the original sticks back in and everything was fine. I think the hall effect joysticks for Steam Deck OLED are just plain defective. I tried looking up instructions to recalibrate them, but these do not have recalibration buttons like the installation instructions give. Don't waste your money on these. It's not a hard mod, but the hardware is totally unreliable. I'd really like my money back since I barely even used them, but it seems its too late and Amazon offers no means of resolution at this time, so all I can do is warn everybody to STAY AWAY. IT ISN'T WORTH THE HEADACHE.

They installed easily without much hassle, joystick are more sensitive and feel a whole lot better. The box of joystick in the second photo is the stock joysticks. They look identical! 1:1

I installed these on my Steam Deck OLED after only having it for about a month. Using iFixit tools and the LTT precision screwdriver it was not too difficult and straightforward using a YouTube video guide. The joysticks themselves feel nice and have slightly more tension than the OEM Valve joysticks (though a bit more tension would be nice). I wish the deadzone was actually zero. After calibrating in Steam OS, the Linux Desktop using the Konsole, and pressing the reset buttons on the back of the joysticks while it is powered on the deadzone is still not zero (less than OEM but far from zero). Pros: Smaller Deadzone Easy to Install (only ribbon cables and screws) Feels good Cons: Deadzone is NOT zero Reset button on the back does not appear to work to reset deadzones Overall these are good joysticks, but not the zero deadzone some advertise getting.

Right stick arrived with a defect and looks like really cheap plastic. Edit: Got a refund for the right stick. After almost 2 months of use, they are still precise, but the feel the touch sensor is really not great. If you only care about the precision and reliability of the hall effect, go for it, but expect lower feel and look compared to valve's.

Muy muy muy contento. Funciona a la perfección, instalación y calibración por Konsole perfectas. Son muy precisos mas que los que tenia de serie. Son sencillos de instalar si tienes algo de maña y conocimientos basicos.

Installé en 10 min, calibrer en 5. Fonctionne parfaitement, ils m'ont l'air plus souple que les originaux , je les trouve top !!!

Die Sticks habe ich bestellt weil bei mir einer zu driften begann. Montage ist super simpel mit ifixit Anleitung. Die sticks fühlen sich gut an und funktionieren einwandfrei. Die im ausgebauten Zustand zu verwenden ist Quatsch und einige Rezensenten sagten, dass die nicht rund laufen. Surprise machen die originalen auch nicht. Eingebaut ist davon nichts zu merken. Auf Langzeit müssen sie sich Beweise, aber aktuell bin ich restlos zufrieden.
