Larry the Stooge in the Middle

The best Stooge, with a great read.

This is Morris' experience of the Three Stooges, and story of his brother, Larry. He has a very refined writing style, ant tells some interesting anecdotes. He shares a lot about his family and faith too. It was very moving.

Stooge Fans: if you want to get to know a Stooge, this book is an excellent choice. Moe’s autobiography is good, but the other bios I’ve seen have all been disappointing. Not “Larry.” Written by his brother, this book gets you pretty close to Larry, with lots of solid stories from throughout his long show biz career. (Nearly half the book is devoted to before the Stooges were the Stooges.) Filled with rare anecdotes and personal glimpses, this is by far the most satisfying Stooges book I’ve encountered.

I was iffy about this book after reading some of the other reviews but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It was very interesting and Moe Fienberg is a pretty good writer. The story is told more from his point of view as the brother of Larry Fine as opposed to just being a biography. It was an interesting read though. I finished it in one day. Very sweet and heartbreaking at the same time. As an avid fan of Larry I would absolutely recommend this for other Larry fans.

Was a gift for a true Stooge fan. He is enjoying the read.

an excellent book. Moe Feinberg has a wonderful sense of humor and has presented an endearing portrait of his famous brother. lots of pictures that I had never seen before and just very enjoyable, from the first page to the last. highly recommended!

An endearing biography of Larry Fine by his "little" brother Moe Feinberg -- loaded with anecdotes about their childhood and early days in Vaudeville together -- with a number of otherwise unpublished family snapshots & photos. An excellent read.
