Great toy for our builder son
We have a 9 year old son that has spent most of his play time building one thing after another. He has done this since he was about 2 years old and he builds things physically, on a computer, and even on an Xbox game that he has. It's interesting to see what he will come up with next, and some of his creations look complicated even to me as an adult. Hopefully he will go on to become an engineer someday. This solar robot toy is the perfect toy for him: there are a dozen combinations for the pieces that will make different toys. It's solar powered which means that I don't have to buy batteries like some of his building toys require. This is a great learning toy for kids that love to build and create, and it comes at a really good price that won't break the bank.

Fun gift but keep track of the small pieces
This kit can make 12 different robots. You will want to work WITH younger children on these. The instructions are pictures with step by step build sequences. Younger children will probably have difficulty following these. There are several small pieces held together in a plastic frame and these pieces could easily be lost so I suggest you have a clean workspace with a towel or something similar under it to make sure the pieces don’t get lost.
