Plugable USB 3.0 Universal Docking Station for Windows, macOS, ChromeOS (Dual HDMI Monitors or DVI/VGA, Gigabit Ethernet, Audio, 6 USB Ports)

Initial impression: very good! First, the Quick Start Guide is well written and clear. It has multiple languages and the English is very clear. The needed driver is easy to find and installed on a Win 11 laptop without a hitch. No further configuration was needed; it was plug-and-play after that!I used the wired Ethernet port and immediately had a gigabit connection. I ran a Speed Test and got 580 Mb/s down and 22.1 Mb/s up. (I'm only paying for 400Mb service!) I attached the mouse to the Plugable UD-3900H and saw no latency. I connected two displays and had 3 desktops running simultaneously and all smooth (native laptop display, large screen TV via HDMI and another desktop monitor via HDMI (using the supplied DVI to HDMI convertor).This will be used at church for multimedia displays on Sunday. I will report on the analog audio then. I saw some reviews that had device failures after a few months. I will post again when we have some use on the Plugable dock.01JUN2025: First follow up. We did try the analog audio; it works well and is clear. No delay. We moved to a USB2 connection to the Mackie ProFX12 audio mixing panel. Bidirectional, digital audio works without delay. (Mackie note: Use the Loud driver, version 6.62! If you use the older ver 6.58, you will not get bidirectional, digital audio. This is a Mackie issue, not Pluggable.) Also, for a three-display setup, you will need to fiddle with the Windows>Settings>System>Display configuration to get the desktop layout you like. Fortunately, this is a one-time hassle and the Pluggable connections are stable and repeatable after a new power-up of Windows.

Having experienced many positives and only one negative, I am EXTREMELY satisfied with this product. I am likely not using this device as it's original intention, but even still it holds up strong.The doc I purchased was set for a dual monitor system using the USB-C port on my laptop (which is an older model designed only to transmit data and charge small electronics) making it possible for me to have two separate monitors plus my laptops native display through 1 connection. However, I currently have it setup working on my native laptop screen, 2 LG monitors, 1 small 28" Insignia TV, and 1 Large 60" VIZIO TV. So 5 Total Monitors on Extend Desktop making up 1 HELL OF A LARGE DESKTOP!!!I did this by simply connecting my 2 primary monitors up through the plugables display ports and then connecting the two TV's to the native VGA and HDMI ports on my laptop. So now I have plenty of room for those boring Zoom meetings to display while continuing to get work done and not worry about missing anything.My ONLY CON that I have experienced so far is that the plugable does not come with bluetooth function and turns the audio card off on my computer, disabling the native bluetooth radio button on my computer. However, this was somewhat easy enough to work around by disabling the audio control of the plugable in the device manager.Again, as I mentioned initially, I may not be using this device as its original intention, but I AM VERY HAPPY with having increased my USB drives from 1 to 7, and with increasing my monitors from 1 (with 2 additional monitors and wires running everywhere) to 5 fully active monitors WITHOUT the need of a peski HDMI switch or spending hundreds of dollars on additional equipment.If you're a "crazyhead", like I am, that wants completely unnecessary capabilities, look no further. If you have the know-how, this inexpensive device has the means.

I had a heckuva time finding a docking station that worked with a laptop without a USB-C display port. This one works flawlessly on my USB-C data port. I have one monitor and two USB 3.0 external drives hooked up to it. They all work great! I really didn’t know my inexpensive HP laptop did not have a USB-C display port until I tried a docking station designed for a display port. But I put that dock on my wife’s HP Chromebook, which has a display port.

Be warned this has bright blue led that are on even if the laptop is off. It has an external power supply.Blue or white led interfere with human sleep. I had to build a "cave" to put it into, because it is in my bedroom. It has blue led on both the front and back. All the interfaces work, but did have to download a device driver. I now have a 3 display computer (laptop display + 2 HDMI displays)

I added a 2nd monitor and needed an easy to use plug and play. It was easy to set up and does not take up much space on my small desk.

Makes my life so much easier! I can now plug all of my devices in for my work from home set up!

Works amazing! I had an issue with one of the monitor adapters that came with the dock. The screen that was attached to the DVI to HDMI adaptor was flickering and I confirmed the problem was the adaptor by connecting a different monitor. Contacted Pluggable by email and they sent out a replacement adapter (actually they sent 2!) right away and it works perfectly now. They were quick to respond and quick to send the replacement. Would highly recommend this dock if you need multiple monitors and don’t have the USB-C display port on your laptop.

I was able to hook up a previous device i had to the usb port and add that third monitor
