Much better than expected!
I'm actually pleasantly surprised on this purchase. I do a lot of reptile removal in my area and could use one of these so I bought one. Figured it would be subpar but it's excellent! I might buy a few more just to have the handle. The end has a threaded bushing and you could match the threads and make other attachments for it. Handle is fairly solid and easy to operate. The bag is nice and well made. Light weight. Durable. I like the drawstring around the midsection of the net. Will make bagging up rattlesnakes much easier.

Keeps me safe and allows me to remove critters
It works greatโฆ it keeps me safe and allows me to remove both small and large rattlesnakes and others from the property without harming them.

Had to use it for a rattlesnake in my yard, it worked!
I purchased this after having two rattlesnakes in our yard this summer, I was hoping I would never have to use it, however just a couple weeks later was rattlesnake number three. This served its purpose 100%, the reason for four stars is that Iโm very uncomfortable with having to reach over to the net to wrap that strap around it. Thankful it worked. It just didnโt seem comfortable. Ohโฆ guess I should mention that I did NOT use the net to catch the rattlesnake. I used rattlesnake tongs, put the snake in the net until the fire department could arrive. Thatโs a dead bunny in his struck. That is inside the net with it.

Be careful with this net
The mesh is strong and the handle is solid but the weak point on this net is the draw string center. It closes easily enough but the lock on the string isn't strong enough to secure it. I can very easily push my finger through the center and open up the net. The force I use is WAY less than a large pit viper can produce so I know if you lay this net down with a snake in it, it can easily escape. I would trust this net if I was carrying a snake as it wouldn't be able to extend up to the center with enough power to push through. But I would not even consider transporting a snake anywhere in it if I had to lay the net down. If that became necessary, I would put an external strap around it that can be cinched down tight and not easily loosened by a determined angry snake. This opinion is coming from someone who is not afraid of snakes and handles them freely without tools. I got this for my wife who appreciates snakes but isn't comfortable touching them. I thought this net would be a good way for her to capture and relocate snakes in a safer manner. I believe it will fully work for that purpose as long as she doesn't trust the drawstring to secure the snake. Of course we haven't had a snake visit since I got this net but as easily as I can defeat the drawstring, I have no doubt a snake can as well.

Quality ties to the hoop. Strong netting material. Light handle
Very impressed with the manufactured quality of this net. I get copperheads sometimes, but they've never caused me a problem, so I got this net in case I have to carry one into the woods away from my house. The rubber handle grip is truly rubbery, not just plastic-feeling. The extension arm segments are light, yet strong. The net is very long so you could get the snake in the bottom and still snug that tie string halfway up the bag. I'm sure they could make this cheaper, but I'm glad they didn't. BOTTOM LINE: Excellent construction and built to hold those pesky poisonous critters. Hope this helps.

I have to admit...
...trapping a venomous snake is not on my to do list, you call an expert. And in Florida, we do have rattle snakes. Not me. But for Halloween i have a lot of stuff and I go as Steve Irwin with my pet alligator. This will go with me.

Broken in two months. GARBAGE
The net ring is a cheap plastic and cannot withstand light use. It snapped at the base of the metal handle and we tried to glue it but it broke again. Complete WASTE OF MONEY.
