Have around 4000 miles on it now and no leaks. Plan on changing the fluid in another 4000. We'll see how the fluid looks then.

The drive shaft seal leaked after professional installation and had to be replaced with an additional cost. It remains to be seen how good this product will perform.

Part arrived quickly and was as described. Recommend filling with gear oil before installing in vehicle.

This is a great way to avoid paying retail at the dealership to get your car back on the road. I am driving again without issue for at least $1500 less than what I would have had to pay at the dealership. I'm so glad I found this! A ford dealership was trying to charge me $900 just for the PTU and from what my mechanic said this one, at least from what he could tell from the outside has a better design than the stock one. The original wasn't serviceable but this one has fill and drain plugs for the fluid which should extend the life of it as long as I keep up with it. He said the heat shield should also help with the fluid not getting too hot and evaporating which is probably what did the original ptu in. My car is running great so far! I will update is there are any issues.
