The connection was not stable
I spoke to Apple and they said that this connector would work, however it was not fully stable and the screen was purple in colour, this may have been a compatibility problem with my old apple screen and the new mini mac but it didnt work so I have had to purchase a new screen and will see if I can send this connector back.

Didn’t work for me
Had bought similar item before but this one did not work for the same task.
