Rosario+Vampire: Season II, Vol. 7: Test Seven: Vanishing Acts

With Moka's seal badly damaged Tsukune and his friends decide to take up Fang-Fang's offer to travel to Hong Kong in an effort to get it fixed by Tohofuhai, one of the Three Dark Lords and a relative of Fang-Fang. On the way to Hong Kong however, the groups plane is attacked by Fairy Tale and when they do arrive at their destination they have another surprise waiting for them and there are revelations about Moka's past.This is another very nice volume of 'Rosario+Vampire'. While a lot of the volume is taken up with setting up the future plot, exposition about the past and the introduction of some new characters, the volume is still entertaining. There is some rather over the top humour in the episode but this should be treated as something of a breather as the tone will be getting a lot darker soon. The volume does introduce one of my favourite characters of the series in the form of Dark Lord Tohofuhai who doesn't really suit his title. The other members of the Huang family introduced in this volume are also interesting as well. The main highlight of this volume though is the beginning of the exposition of Moka's past where we are finally introduced to her entire family and there will be some interesting revelations to come.Overall this was a very solid volume and I feel it deserves around four and a half stars.
