Super thin and stretchy. Have had a chance to test out the FR property of the material yet, but will update when I have a chanceš. Generally though, my feet are the last to go up in flames.

Reliable Protection for Your Feet: A Review on Heat-Resistant Socks for the Brave
Finding reliable products when it comes to safety gear, especially for those facing extreme conditions, is crucial. That's where these fire-resistant socks come into play. Designed for individuals in professions that flirt with dangerābe it firefighting, welding, or working on oil rigsāthese socks serve as an essential line of defense against heat and flames. Yet, their utility doesn't end at professional use; outdoor enthusiasts who tread into the wild can also find comfort and safety in their protection. The material composition is where these socks genuinely shine. Crafted to resist high temperatures, they offer peace of mind to those exposed to fire hazards. Unlike ordinary socks, wearing these felt like slipping on a shield around my feet without compromising comfort. The fabric is breathable, a feature not always prioritized in safety gear, ensuring comfort throughout a long day's work.Durability is another hallmark. After several uses and washes, the socks maintained their integrity, showing no signs of wear or reduced efficacy. This resilience makes them a wise investment for long-term safety solutions without frequent replacements. While the focus is primarily on protection, the design doesn't neglect ease of use. They fit snugly and stay in place regardless of movement, which is critical in high-stress environments where adjusting gear is the last thing on your mind. However, every product has its flaws. For some, the thickness of the socks might be a point of contention, especially in warmer climates or during off-duty hours. The price point might also be a consideration for individuals or organizations looking to outfit a large team.Despite these considerations, these fire-resistant socks stand out as a reliable companion for those prioritizing safety in high-risk environments. They deliver on their promise of protection without forsaking comfort or durability, making them a sensible choice for the safety-conscious professional or adventurer.

3 pairs, All have holes after first use
As many mention, they are thin. But after the first use on all 3, they developed holes by the big toe. I didn't do anything extremely crazy while using them, in fact we walked maybe a few miles that day, but nothing out of the norm. Even with changing shoes it didn't make a difference. Poor quality IMO.

Just heavy cotton socks
There is zero documentation of what these socks are really made of. Not in the description, not in the packaging, not on the socks themselves. Holding them, they feel like a normal cotton sock that is a little heavier than normal. Nothing special about them at all. Just generic lines like "Fire resistant" and "fire retardant". They don't feel synthetic, that's good. But they don't tell you what they are made of either, that isn't good. They do feel like they are well made, but it will take time to tell.
