IMPACT SCREWDRIVER
Sometimes you run into rusty or otherwise seized up screw. When a regular screwdriver won't cut it, this tool can come in handy. You whack it with a hammer and if you've got it set correctly, it will both loosen the screw and also start it turning. It's kind of confusing. There are two settings on this driver: L and R which I assume are supposed to refer to left and right. Anyway, set it to R to get the driver to turn CCW to remove a screw that has a right-hand thread (that would be 98% of screws). Then if you happen to have a screw with a left hand thread, set it to L. Sadly, many times, the head will get stripped or otherwise mangled and you will need an angle grinder to grind the head off. This tool seems to be pretty sturdy and seems to work the few times I've used it so far. It comes with a storage box which is a bit thin and flimsy. Overall, it seems to be a well-made sturdy and reliable tool if you often run into frozen screws.

Heavy duty tool
I love this tool! The AUPREX Manual Impact Screwdriver kit must weigh over 2 pounds, so you know it's going to take a beating and keep on ticking! Okay, it's not a watch, but work with me here...This tool is intended to be used for those stubborn screws and bolts that have rusted into place after years of neglect. That about describes my house; since I am somewhat lazy, I never try to maintain something, preferring to fix it when it finally fails. With lots of piping, fencing and various other material exposed to the weather, I regularly end up having to drill out screws, take a pipe-wrench to a screwdriver, etc. This tool makes all those workarounds go away.I especially like that the base unit is intended for hammering to loosen stuck bolts and screws; I always feel guilty when I use one of my regular screw drivers for this purpose, and I'm always concerned I'm going to end up cracking the handle. Not with this baby! I can't imagine anyone able to hit it hard enough to leave a mark, much less break it! Yeah, baby, that's what I'm talking about! The kit arrived in a container that was scuffed and scratched, so it almost looked like it had been previously used. I suspect that, due to the weight of the kit, it was knocked around while being shipped and just naturally scratched itself when it bumped into other boxes. I don't think it's worth packing a product like this carefully to avoid these types of marks, but if you do, you may want to consider picking up something like this locally, rather than having it shipped. This is a great tool that will be very helpful to me as I work through my broken 'fix-it' projects. Recommended.,

Metal case
I'm pleased that this has a metal case and not another plastic case. It's pretty sturdy and is going to last, though there's no latch or dimples to snap it into place. The driver is surprisingly heavy. That's good, because it helps with keeping it in place as you whack it, and is durable. The bits are larger than your standard 1/4" - they're 3/8" - and that's for durability. It's difficult to find replacement bits in that size, though they do exist. You're generally limited to slot and phillips though, so if you want to use it on other fastener types, you're going to have to get a 1/2" square to 1/4" hex adapter, than then you'll be able to do that. That's what I did. Really useful tool that for a long time didn't even know existed, and is great for removing stubborn fasteners without stripping them.

Right tool for the job
Having the right tool for the job can make life so much easier. This reversible hammer strike impact screwdriver is great for stubborn screws and bolts since it has 1/2" square drive that can accommodate sockets. Now this tool is no miracle worker, but it does help to minimize the fight you might have in removing a stuck fastener. I am very happy with the included bits this tool has and I really like that I can put 1/2" drive sockets on it if I should need to. I like that the tool is affordable enough to be purchased to just have on hand for when you do need it so you don't have to wait on an ordered tool to come in. Honestly, this tool is something you use when your other easy options have failed, so do yourself a favor and go ahead and get it so you don't have to delay your project or job, or so you don't have to run all over town just to find out that nobody sells one in your location.

It does the job
This hand impact driver kit does the job. The case's plastic liner was damaged in transit so I suspect it won't hold up under normal use.The tool itself does work but after a few uses the impact end is already showing signs of distress. Not bad overall, time will tell how well it holds up.Here is how I rate items:5 Stars = Exceeds all expectations, A definite buy! (Very Rare)4 Stars = Excellent find, you should definitely give it a shot.3 Stars = It works and functions as advertised.2 Stars = A little scary, possibly OK, it may work out.1 Stars = Avoid this product, not worth the effort.

Never knew I needed it, until I did!
The impact screw driver arrived, well packaged, on time and defect free. The impact screw driver arrived within it's own metal carrying case. When it comes to hard to remove or rusted screws, my experience in the past was trying with a conventional screw driver, and then eventually having to dry to drill out the screw with limited success. The impact screw driver allowed me to use the combination of the screwdriver and the force of a hammer to dislodge the impacted screw. The key is not to overly damage the screw initially. Once you realize that you will not be able to free the screw conventionally, use the tool to provide the combination of impact and twist. It has worked for me with my current problem screw, so am assuming that this will take care of the majority of problems that I may run into. The product works as advertised.
