New life for old taps.
I’ve changed the tap valves 3 times now to stop dripping. A set last about a year.Be aware that Fern originally fit valves that can not be easily replaced. You need a special removal tool first time, but then using this design, replacement is simple. I also found the Allen key in the kit was the wrong size to fit my tap levers, not a problem, as I have a large selection of tools, but worth checking before you commence the job.

Great product for the price !
It would have 5 stars if the supplied Alan key was the correct size.Other than that, fits perfectly and has done the job at a fraction of the price !

Easy Fit
As long as you can isolate the tap from the supply its an easy fix, the Allen key is not the right size but if you are tackling this you will have a standard set, you need the following tools2.5 Allen KeyFlat blade screwdriver14mm deep socketOnce the water to the tap is isolated turn on the tap levers, this will allow access to the allen screws at the bottom of the lever.Take this opportunity to descale the spout filter and surround if needed.Unscrew the Allen Screws there is no need to take them out completely.the levers will come loose at that point they should come away from the Tap bodyThis will allow access to the screw at the end of the Valve using a flat or crosshead screwdriver unscrew the retaing screw for the plastic bush, the are standard threads so anticlockwise to undoto get the plastic bush free lever off using the screwdriver.when removed use the 14mm deep socket to unscrew the valve again standard threads so anti clockwise to loosen. You will lose some water at this point but not much.reassembly is the reverse of what you have already done.to get the right placing of the levers once the plastic bushes are fitted open both tap valves all the way then fit the levers at 90 degrees and tighten them onto the bush, when closed they should be vertical.Easy and cheap fix.

Good price
Capable replacements for my Franke Bern tap. However the allen key provided is the wrong size for the Franke Bern grub screw.
