So many of the negative reviews were clearly written by people who didn’t understand how purple shampoos/conditioners work. This will not make dark hair grey/silver! This will not even out a patchy beard! This WILL neutralize the yellow/brassiness in white/grey hair. Works great on my husband’s [mostly] salt & [a bit of] pepper beard 😋 It is now a lovely silver color again.

I’ve tried a couple of other Godefroy products before and have always been impressed with their quality. This beard shampoo is no exception. Like the rest of their lineup, it seems to work by adding a hint of purple tone to gray hair, helping to create more of a silver effect rather than a dull, brassy look.The change in my beard’s appearance has been subtle but noticeable. My beard feels softer and healthier after using it, and the scent is quite pleasant too. While I’ll stick to using it just for my beard (since I already have a scalp shampoo I like), I think this is a great option if you’re looking to subtly enhance your gray tones. My beard is maybe a 60/40 black to gray mix, so maybe it will be more dramatic on very gray beards.

This has worked great on my husband's facial hair! Before he started using this his grey/white facial hair was getting that odd yellowish color. Now all his facial hair that is grey/white is a nice bright white color. This didn't happen after one shower but it didn't take too long. And he's been doing this now for almost 6 months and the bottle is just shy of half full. That's amazing last shampoo! Best part is that we both like the smell after he uses it. So far I have enjoyed my experience using this beard shampoo. The smell is subtle and nice. It is very simple to use. My hair feels soft and healthy with use and it does do a pretty decent job at enhancing the silver and fixing some of the dull and brassy spots.

This is not a coloring kit or agent. It is a light purple gel toner. If you have yellow or orange tones in your beard that you would like to tone down to a silver then this might for you. It will not cover dark hair to turn it silver. If you leave it in for too long it will leave a bluing effect just like when bleach hair to a blonde and use a purple or even silver (which is light purple instead of the inky purple color) toner.

My other half is nearly all gray but his hair has some other brownish bits in there so I thought that this shampoo might be something for him to try. He's been using it for about a month, and I have to say, his hair is looking so nice! I like his gray, & it really does look less brassy! I wish I had taken before and after shots. This shampoo is a purple color and has a pleasant smell. It is a smaller sized bottle, but most guys don't use a lot of shampoo at a time because most have shorter hair, so it will last longer than you think. He didn't try it on his beard as he keeps that mostly shaved/trimmed.

Used only once will give it a few more tries. Not sure if it's the batch I got but, I see no purple pigment it's completely clear. Maybe the formula changed. Dissapointed

Seems like it works really well, as the beard and scalp seem a lot cleaner and smoother after using it for a bit.It also moisturizes a bit, which is an added benefit since I've learned some of these things can dry you out a lot
