BY100 Propane Gas Mini Portable Thermal Fogger

Like the other reviewer said it also produces a flame ...
Well it does produce fog which is a start but also an end. Like the other reviewer said it also produces a flame cloud around the end and half way up the device. A true hazard! Furthermore the instructions are incomplete and contradictory in nature. It says to place the oil in the large tank but not the insecticide. It says to follow the directions of the insecticide you use right? BUT there is NO information anywhere on how much liquid from the insecticide goes as a ratio to the amount of liquid from the bottom. So there is no informnation available at all to figure out the dilution rate. So I emailed the company on their website.........No reply By the way forget propane it won't work at all just butane twist on cans.So buy this if you want a flame throwing pesticide fogger at some totally unknown concentration. Product should be banned due to it's hazard.

Skeeters liv elsewhere now
Love my fogger. The idea is that the insecticide goes into a secondary chamber, and pure diesel goes in the bottom. Only it doesn't work. The insecticide will remain inside when you are done with the diesel. I just mix and add to bottom container, which is large enough for two sessions. It uses butane cans not propane canisters. They burn hotter and quicker and are sold here on Amazon. There are extra coils around the heater, which allows for more fog. I fire it up, let it warm up and then start squeezing trigger. It PUMPS the fog out. Lots of fog.Of course the effectiveness depends on your choice of insecticide. I started with Shockwave. Adding to the diesel at a rate of about 1:15. The fogger allowed me to lay down a line of fog that wafts through the target zone. I use only when the wind is dead as this keeps the fog active longer and you get better coverage. There is one issue, and that is if you have the heat too high and you point the tip downwards, fire will engulf the coils. I would NOT use the strap for this reason. I just dial temperature down and no more flameage.I rated a fewer stars as it isn't worth the $200 I paid, more like half of that. However, if you ask my woman, she will tell you it is worth twice what I paid.

so may be better to use anyway
The claim that this works with propane is false, and the manufacture admits it. Amazon is only repeating that false claim made by the manufacturer. It will accept only an 8oz butane cartridge (like used in some camp stoves and restaurant warming equipment and is more common in Europe). If an adapter for propane is available, I can't find one and the manufacturer could not point me to one. Butane has a higher BTU content than propane, so may be better to use anyway, but it's something special you have to keep around and isn't sold at your local hardware store. Amazon does have it. This has a separate dispersant (oil or water) chamber from the chemical, which is nice, but the instructions as to how to control the proper mixture are non-existent. And it's not that it's a bad translation, the manufacturer is in the UK -- they are just totally insufficient. The manufacturer told me it's just "trial and error". I have read on other sites that using a pre-mixed insecticide is not recommended because it may clog. That doesn't seem to be much of an issue for oil based ones but could be for thicker water based ones. But the manufacturer did warn me that certain chemicals could also leave an odor in the plastic of the chamber and the pump (which is one reason it comes with a spare plastic pump piece) since that chamber is intended for dispersant only. Probably not an issue if all you use it for is insecticides. But since it also works with other things like deodorizers, it could be. NOTE: also VERY badly packaged for shipment. No over-packing used with a box clearly not sufficient for shipping and not taped up well enough, either.
