Bright Explorer Educational Light Box Playset

This is a wonderful toy that encourages open-ended exploration and play. The included accessories are all you need for hours of entertainment, even for a kid too little to understand the tanagrams. My toddler is fascinated by changing the color of the light, carrying around the plastic bugs and dumping out the tanagrams over and over. We have barely explored adding anything else yet, but there is a near infinite amount of potential with this toy. The construction is also very sturdy, enough to support a 30 lb kid when Mom’s back is turned for a second 😬 The battery life is generous, and I appreciate the automatic shut off feature for letting me walk away without worrying too much about draining the batteries. Amazon is currently out of stock of this, but I hope they bring it back, because I’d love to keep gifting this to the kids we know. Battat Education makes great toys, and this is our favorite so far!

I absolutely love this table, it is made well, has everything for hours of entertainment and learning for your child. I was a little hesitant at the beginning as there was no review available on Amazon, but then decided to give it a try. I looked everywhere for a light table that is affordable and even the cheapest options don’t even come with anything. So decided to give this one a try. It comes with translucent shapes and bugs, the tray can be filled with sand, water or shredded paper( last one is included). Lights are color changing and very nice to look at. It didn’t come with the cable, luckily my old computer charger was a match. But didn’t like having it plagged while my son was playing with water, so I switched to rechargeable batteries ( not included either). I’d like to get one for my classroom as well, but for now I’ll have to take this one sometime. I can’t talk about the longevity as we just got it but it feels solid and with proper care i expect it to last.

Bought for my child at Christmas time. She was 28 months old at the time. She did not have much interest in it at the time. I have to say that I was definitely initially more excited about it than she was! It took a few more months for her to get interested in it. She is a very bright and curious little girl so I thought she would be able to get a lot out of it at an earlier age. However, it truly is more appropriate for a child closer to 3 years old. She is almost 3 now but can already do the tanagram puzzle templates that come with it. She also loves changing the color of the light. Another thing she loves are the colored bugs that are included. I can see us using this for several years. Truly a toy that a child can love for years to come. The way you use it can change as they grow. There are tons of ways to use this item!

This is so great and our toddler loves it. Great for learning as well as using for sensory projects too. It’s so cute to see our toddler learning and I think it was worth the money. The only thing that’s odd is it’s able to be charged and uses a USB-C but it’s not included, nor is it in the initial directions. It was strange how hard it was to find out that it’s rechargeable but we have the chargers so will be charging it for use!

So thought out! Every detail is made for kids even the box was an activity! I got it for my 1 year old to use as a sensory bin. I have a different clear bin for sand on the box so it doesn’t etch the one that came with it. She loves to draw in the sand to see the light and switch the light. My daycare kiddos are all in love with it. 5 year old traced some shapes and numbers with it. 3 year old did the sheets and shapes activity. All around great for all ages!

This item is loved by all four of my boys ages 2-8. I will note that the first one I received managed to have a stripped screw in the battery department upon unboxing however Amazon made the return seamless and I was sent a new one right away and dropped off the first to a local drop off location where my return barcode was scanned and I was on my way. The light table has so many fun uses and ways to imagine and play. So far my kids have really enjoyed the incudes clear tray and the included measuring cup and toys to use it with water. We added a chip from a bath color tablet we had and they could keep busy suctioning the water out of the container and into the cup for about an hour. Sometimes adding the little bug critters it includes to capture with the included plastic trapper pieces. The colors for the extras for the light table are great- from the blue of the measuring cup to the purple bulb on the baster and all the colored panels for creating shapes and animals- this piece is both engaging and creative. Immediately I noticed the quality feel of the table and the well constructed add on toys included with it. I love that the table itself has a light yet smooth textured material making the base to the frame and the other pieces are solid, smooth, and well made. I believe this piece is made well as well as well thought out for imaginative and creative play. I love that even the boxing materials and included packaging material of shredded part can be utilized for play as well.

I purchased this for my 3.5 year old son for Christmas and it was his favorite gift by far surprisingly! Out of all the cars, tracks, and anything else a boy could want, he played with this ALL morning on Christmas. I also got him some capital and lower case letters to use with it which I suggest if you’re thinking of buying this table. It comes with neon colored shapes that you can use on the clear tracing sheets or with the shape cards to make pictures with the shapes. It also comes with little plastic bugs that my son plays with daily. Every morning since Christmas this is what he goes to first and he will play with it for HOURS. I also got him some kinetic sand for it and some other “sensory” type things. I paid $42 for this which is a great price for so many hours of educational entertainment! I would not hesitate to buy this for your little one! It is perfect size for toddler probably up to 7-8 years old. My son can turn it on and change the colors by himself so it’s very easy to use.

What if the battery change doesnt fix the light turning off? If I change the color it stays on but the clear white light does not stay on. I bought it last year but have started using it more in the last month.
