It was a gift for a friend, and she was delighted. It defrosts really well and doubles-up as a chopping board too. What is there not to like about it?

As someone who often forgets to take stuff out of the freezer in due time I thought I would try one of these even though I was somewhat sceptical. However, to my surprise, it really works, and works well. I would not use it as a chopping board as it is made of a soft man-made material which will not stand up to sharp knives in my opinion but as a defroster it is excellent. Easy to keep clean, easy to store away, it's very vey good and I am so pleased I overcame my doubts and bought it.

I have used this item 3 times. It works and works well. I have noticed that if you defrost directly on the board a faint smell of blood is prevalent even after washing up. I now defrost on a thin tin foil container or paper cake liner which catches all liquid and can then be disposed of immediately.I would recommend the defrosting board

I did not realise that this defrost plate had extra functions , a knife sharpener, small grater and can be used as a chopping board on the other side . Great purchase

Works well as intended

A bit disappointed with this it takes ages to defrost anything also it’s a lot smaller than I expected. My old one was about 16 years old and was bigger however it looks good in my kitchen and doesn’t take up much space

Didn't think it would make much of a difference, but I'm really pleased with it. I use it mostly for defrosting raw food for my dogs and it works perfectly

Thus is a great product for when I've forgotten to take the chicken out of the freezer. I normally cube the chicken breast and then freeze, this defrosts in around 2 hrs. I haven't thawed anything other than chicken and you do need to turn it, but it does state that on the box. I haven't used the sharpener, so can't comment on that, but it cleans well and I'm glad I bought one. It's slim and fits in the cupboard perfectly. Super easy to use and great value for money.
