Controllable flow
Put into 75 gallon mixed reef tank. Was able to get the flow perfect for the LPS at around 35%. Love the degree of functionality and independent movement of each side. Works great with mobius and extremely quiet.

Turns your tank crystal clear
The media could not be loaded. We purchased this to add to our other Nero 5 fans, just wanting to add some more wave-like flow. What a difference this made our 205 gallon tank always look good but it instantly cleared up the water has made the glass much easier to to keep clean and just one day! The way it moves the water the algae just doesn't have the opportunity to sit on things and I can tell a huge difference.

Very Powerful
It’s just GREAT!!! It will get the job done and some. I really should have gotten the smaller one. I have this on a 75 gallon tank and powered at 15%

Solid Build, Premium Feel and Silent.
I'm new to the saltwater hobby, having spent a year contemplating keeping reef aquarium, and this is my first experience with AquaIllumination. I’ve heard good things about the brand on forums, and I must say, I’m pretty impressed with the first product I’ve tried. The packaging was a bit excessive, as the product came in a large box, but it was well-protected inside. I really like the teal-colored interior packing material—it’s a nice touch that ties in with the brand’s aesthetic. Inside the box, you get the wavemaker, a power adapter (with multiple prong options), a manual, and a packet of woven wire mesh sleeves + cap.The wavemaker itself feels well-built, and I love the teal fin on the unit. The setup was straightforward—the wavemaker is held in place by a strong magnet on the outside of the tank, and I like that it’s mounted on a soft rubber base to prevent vibrations. The cord leading to the remote is long and generous, which makes it easy to position the remote wherever you need it. I also like that the power adapter is universal, with multiple prong adapters included, so you can switch them based on your location. While this isn’t strictly necessary, it’s a nice touch that helps them sell the product in various countries without issues.Once plugged in, the wavemaker works with a simple button press on the remote to start – there is only one button. It does a great job of circulating water around my tank. Since I’m just starting out, I have a 20-gallon tank, and the Orbit 2 wavemaker (rated for 20+ gallons) is perfect for my setup. I’ve mounted it close to the surface of the water, and it creates mini-waves that really add to the dynamic look of my tank. One downside I have is the manual—it’s simple, but it’s missing some information. For example, I didn’t know the Orbit 2 has the option for single-side operation until I watched a YouTube video. The cap is included, but it wasn’t specified in the manual on how to disassemble the unit or how to use this feature. Also, the wavemaker can be controlled via the AI app or Mobius wasn’t mentioned in the manual. As a beginner, these are things that would have been really helpful to know upfront. I imagine experienced hobbyists might be aware of these features, but for someone new to the hobby, more detailed instructions would have been beneficial.Overall, I think this is a fantastic product. It performs excellently, moving a lot of water while staying super quiet, and the premium packaging creates a great first impression of the brand. However, it would be even better if the manual included more helpful information for beginners like me who are new to using wavemakers.

Worked great when it worked...
I've had the Orbit 4 since May 5, 2024. It was meant to replace my Jebao MCP-120. It worked without flaw until today. I was cleaning my tank and the Orbit 4. When I went to place it back in the tank unfortunately it would not power back on. I tried cycling the power multiple times to no avail. I had recently replaced all of my Jebao wave makers with Aquaillumination's products (Nero 3, Nero 5, Orbit 2, and Orbit 4) due to their reputation for quality. However now I am starting to question my choice. I've had my MCP-120 for over a year now and it has taken its fair share of abuse, but its still working and is now back in my tank until I can figure out what to do with the Orbit 4. :(

So Far So Good
Bought Mines in June of 2024, and it’s been working flawlessly. Love the Mobius integration. Makes the pumps really easy to use.

Top end product at a premium price
What I like about this style is it really circulates the water. Something about the long design results in a more defined flow of the water around the tank.Near the surface, you can use this to break up surface tension and increase aeration. Put near the bottom will help blow detritus up off the bottom so the filters will catch it. Put vertically can do a mix of both those things, and will create a horizontal circle of flow, as opposed to the more common horizontal mounting which creates a vertical circle of flow.I already have a lot of AI products so this was a no-brainer. It works well with the “myAI” app. That said, there are a lot of similar products for a lot less. They aren’t likely to work as well but perhaps the difference isn’t worth all the extra money. That’s up to you and your budget.I’ve got it in a 90 gallon and have it running about as low as it can go.At full power, you’d need a very large tank, 200 gallons maybe, and with careful consideration on how it’s all setup in relation to the tank. This absolutely can damage or irritate corals if it’s too close. My tank is a peninsula type, with the plumbing on one end, and the tank could be placed to view from both sides. My hope was to install this on the far side from the plumbing to even out flow and encourage a distinct circle of flow back to the overflow. I hoped to put this horizontal and close to the top of the tank where it would mostly be unseen. However, because of the strong flow, I have to put it about 6” from the top so there isn’t too much splashing and noise.
