Mil-Tec Long Sleeve

Great Coat - Warm, Well Made, and Inexpensive
This is an excellent coat, especially for the price. I got a large (m52) so that I can wear a hoodie underneath it when the temps drop in Jan-Feb. Even slightly oversize it looks good and is very warm. I walk about 3 miles to work every day, a mile of it right on the water (one block from the harbour) where it is always windy. The well insulated coat keeps me warm. The quality of the fabric and stitching is excellent - Mil-Tec makes nice stuff. When I was young I had an original of this same coat - the quality of this repro is as good or better. The coat has an inside pocket that big enough to hold a passport case (or Wehrdienstausweis ;-). There are two medium size pockets on the chest, big enough for a small notepad, pack of smokes, etc. There is also a medium size pocket on each sleeve (midway between the shoulder and elbow). I love that - very useful spot for a pocket. A zipper in front would be nice but it wouldn't be authentic so the buttons are fine. Now if Mil-Tec will only make a repro SkimĂĽtze (field cap) to go with the coat. The original caps look sharp but has a vinyl sweatband that is just not that comfortable. In any case if you're considering buying this coat - I recommend it without reservation!

Great coat!
Better than I expected. Generous fit. I ordered a large. I am 5 foot 8 168 pounds. I have a hard time with jackets being tailored for men who have no muscles or on a Vegan diet or something, European surplus coats especially seem to be to tight for me in the shoulders and chest areas, but not this coat. I can wear a sweater under this if I have too. The jacket seems very warm, and the fur collar fits properly despite the reviews other people left, it fit fine. You just have to figure out how it buttons together.

really good quality coat
I love this coat, it's warm and I like that it runs big so it's nice and warm. Would like to buy again.

LOOKS?It comes the way it looks here on Amazon.Good olive drab base with consistent brown raindrop camo pattern. It's definitely cool if you have surplus/tactical/history affinity (a*tism). Also, looks stylish as hell with the faux fur collar on.COMFORT & WARMTH?It comes slightly larger than usual. So a large is like an near XL.It is still wearable and comfortable though. It's also insanely warm, especially with the fur collar on.QUALITY?Stitching looks a little light in places; however, nothing seems to be falling apart.Buttons seem a little loose in the stitching; nevertheless, they stay on too.So, it isn't so much that the quality is bad. It just seems like it may not handle heavy wear over time. With that being said, I've not worn it too much yet, so the quality criticisms are based on PROJECTION only.OVERALL?Absolutely happy that I bought this and LOVE wearing it!

If your a 2X
Took a little longer to get here cause it' s from Germany. It looks brand new. Well stitched. Good elastic on cuffs and deep pockets. Liked the inside chest pocket. If your a 2X and you like your jackets baggy like me go with the 3Xinstead. If your layered up this jacket will work.If your not then your gonna notice the lack of insulation down the storm flap.

Disappointed
Did not like anything about this jacket. Bad look, collar not attached to jacket. If I had seen this jacket in person would not even tried it on. I was very disappointed.

Great cold weather jacket, excellent surplus reproduction
Excellent jacket, great price. Size is European, contact seller if in doubt, the XL (m56) fits me @ 5'-9"/175#. Pretty much an exact reproduction of East German surplus parka (authentic S & M sizes available at Uncle Sam's Army Navy for about the same price). Will be great outdoor jacket for fall/winter hiking or hunting where blaze orange isn't required. Or worn under a blaze orange vest. The seller, Camo Outdoor is great, they shipped quickly from Ireland, jacket arrived sooner than expected. The seller is helpful for understanding the Euro size charts.Pants that might go with this parka are available at Keep Shooting:http://www.keepshooting.com/east-german-winter-pants.html

gift for my brother
Arrived yesterday....6 days early. 👍 My brother loves it. He says he needs to lose about 10 pounds for a better fit. He is delighted just the same.❤ Somehow he knew what it was before he opened it...in my presence. No beating around the bush for him! Thank you.

Go one size smaller
Very well made and looks great with boots. Make sure you go 1 size down when ordering. I normally wear size M but I ordered size S.

Tutto perfetto

Macht was her. ;)
