I like Bear Grylls products, this hatchet doesn't disappoint. Its sharp, light weight . But the reason for the 4 stars is it is not full tang as advertised, disappointing. But I'd recommend it.

light weight good feel and heft for a back packing hatchet. The only thing I would have liked if it had a wider area for pounding tent pegs.

This product is junk. The sheath fell apart the first day and the handle broke completely in half with light chopping. We tried to connect to the product support link but it lead no where.

A nice enough little ax for the price, but I found it rather disturbing that it was made in China!

Not for everyday splitting of wood, but I bought as a 'prepper'. Well balance in hand. It will serve well in camping and emergencies. I used to cut/split/stack 20 cords of wood a season. Not for that purpose, but for the other items I listed, perfect and well balanced in hand.

Okay, first off,I own the bear grylls survival knife and folding one(and a spare when it gets too worn) The hatchet is nice but the handle is hard and plastic slickness where as the older knifes have a more textured finish that feels way better on the hands, and gives you more grip. I would have concerns about slippage because of this new change. Maybe this would last longer but the older handles made me feel safer. You fix this and you would be back up to 5 stars.

This hatchet is useless and on top of that it's not a full tang. Got one camping trip out of it. Very expensive hatchet for only one time use.
