Zymox Ear Cleanser With Bio-Active Enzymes, 4 oz.

I’ve been using Zymox Ear Cleanser With Bio-Active Enzymes for my dog, and it’s been a game-changer for his ear hygiene. This cleanser is so easy to use and very effective at keeping his ears clean and free from debris and wax buildup. I love that it contains bio-active enzymes, which help maintain a healthy balance in the ear without harsh chemicals. It’s super gentle, so my dog doesn’t seem to mind when I use it, and it doesn’t irritate his ears like other products have in the past. In January 2018, we adopted a senior kitty with a severe waxy ear problem and a cauliflower ear from an infection that was the result of her constant scratching. The itchiness and discomfort in her ears caused her to constantly drool, so her little chin was rough and raw from being constantly wet with saliva. Poor kitty! For a month or so, I used the ear cleaning solution from the pet store, but I wanted to find something better. That's when I found the Zymox line of products here on Amazon. I used the Zymox Otic 1.0 treatment for the recommended 14 days, then switched to the Zymox ear cleanser for weekly cleanings. You cannot imagine the amount of black gunk that came out of her ear every week. It is now six months since I started treating her ears with Zymox and I'm happy to report that we are seeing such an improvement in her condition. Her ears still get dirty, but not as much as before. She no longer cries when I'm cleaning them and she has stopped the constant rubbing and scratching and head shaking. She no longer salivates constantly and her chin has healed up considerably, with the help of some soothing kitty skin cream. Yesterday I cleaned her ears after three weeks of not doing it. Oops! I normally do it on a weekly basis, but what can I say, life happens sometimes. Anyway, I was expecting so much gunk to come out of her ear, but it wasn't so bad! After three weeks, they were as waxy as they normally are with weekly cleanings. This is not to say that I intend to go that long without cleaning her ears from now on; I really think that faithfully sticking to the weekly cleaning schedule is what got us here, so we will continue with our weekly cleanings. I'm sure she will always need help keeping her ears clean, but I feel we now have the situation under control. I'm just so thrilled to see her happier and more comfortable and with a better quality of life. This product has really been a blessing; I highly recommend it.

I bought this stuff bc my cat gets ear infections and Everytime she starts scratching at her ears I worry so I try and clean her ears out regularly. This stuff is great bc it's not "medication" but it really works. It's a bunch of enzymes that help break down the junk that builds up in their ears and helps soothe the skin. Just one day and my cat will stop itching her ears after this stuff. Fair warning though, if it gets on your skin or your cat's fur, it feels very greasy and leaves a residue. My cat hates ear drops and always fights me and it ends up all over her head and I can feel it in her fur for days no matter how much I try and wipe her fur down

This has landed for me in the ranks of things that work pretty well on most of my pets, but unfortunately still leaves me with no completely suitable ear cleaning solution for one of my cats. Let me clarify. I have no issues with this formula; it works well, loosens dirt in the ear canal, and doesn't seem to cause any irritation. In all of my animals, except one. I have tried every possible ear cleaner for one of my cats, and every single one, no matter how safe/organic/scent free/few ingredients/etc, has caused him to get irritated, teary eyes and to paw at his head. At this point, I think I have to just call the game and go back to using a little pad dampened slightly to clean the outside of his ear canal, and hope for the best. It's no reflection on this product at all.. it's effective enough to stay with the other bottles I've tried in my futile attempt to find one that works for my oldest cat. The dogs and the other cat all tolerate it just fine, so it'll be used up, absolutely. Just be aware that if your cat is like mine.. you might have to keep trying. Or give up. Like I did. ;)

This product was recommended by my dog groomer and my vet for ear hygiene and daily health. I found after 24 hours the musty Oder on my dog’s ear dissipated. It left the canal refreshed. I’d say it is the best of the ear cleansers I’ve tried so far. It goes on like a hand lotion. Medium weight. The bottle is a petite size that packs well for traveling with your dog. Cotton balls are recommended for ear canal wax that may release as you dog shake their head. If your dog likes to get in water and has floppy ears, meaning they’re folding over this is a great product for that chronic issue with the musty wet ears. There’s a cleanser then this they’re very different levels of cleaner here. Please read all the instructions and decide what’s best for your pets needs.

This is the same stuff our Vet sells us for a lot more $. This is a great way to save some money!

The only line of products I’ll ever use! I have a German Shepherd I got from a shelter 4 years ago. When we got her, she had an ear infection so we treated it. $250 at the vet later, it came back. We fought chronic infections for the next 3 1/2 years. It was never more than 2-3 months before they came back. We were out of options and started treating at home with natural remedies. Still, nothing worked! We have Zymox products a try, thinking I was just wasting more money. We bought the Zymox Advanced Otic Plus solution because it was the highest strength available. We treated for 4 weeks straight. The recommended length is 7 days or 14 days for chronic infections. We decided to treat extra because we’ve been fighting infectionsfor so long. After the treatment, we left the ears alone for 3-4 days and ordered the Zymox Ear Cleaner. We cleaned and cleaned the ears and they have never looked so clean! Normally, her ears are dark and discoloured because of the infections and scratching but they are now nice and pink and normal looking. We’ve been cleaning daily with the Ear Cleaner for about 2 weeks now but everyday, nothing comes out but maybe a little waxy stuff. I missed a few days and I was honestly flabbergasted that her ears were still clean when we started back. I have ran out of options and didn’t have $2000 more to spend on more ear treatments at the vet. I spent about $100 between the two bottles of Otic Plus solution and two bottles of Ear Cleaner. Best $100 I’ve spent on this dog! If your dog has suffered like mine, give this a shot!!! I’m not paid to give this review, I’m just an estatic momma that wants to spread our experience.

So I have 5 dogs. As a routine, whenever they get a bath, they also get their ears cleaned right after in case any water accidentally got in there, and also gives me an opportunity to really inspect their ears and make sure they’re healthy. So! This product is basically unscented. It has a very slight sweet-smelling chemical scent (say that 5 times fast). My only issue with this product is that it leaves this crusty/greasy film around the ears after it dries. Which is frustrating... since I use this right after the dogs get baths. I don’t think I’ll order this again for that reason. I think the product cleans the ears as it should, but it really does make my dogs ears look and feel dirty after use. My friend even commented saying I should clean my dogs ears after she felt the residue. I had to inform her that the ear cleaner itself is what make it look and feel like that...lol

Pretty good remedy. My Shih-Tsu gets itchy ears regularly due to a combo of wax and whatever sticks to the wax (she likes rummaging in the bushes). Stops her shaking her head after about 2 applications. Obviously one needs to check with a vet to see if it’s something more serious, but anything for more common and usual issues like wax...this product is as good as what I would pay 3 times more at the vet. I will Order again.

Perfect for my dog who often gets ear infections! He hates ear drops so we use this product on a cotton ball to clean his ears and he doesn't mind it. The product seems to work great as lots of brown stuff ends up on the cotton ball. Great for dogs with ear infections and prone to getting dirty!

Have used for my dog's ear. Had tried many products and prescribed meds that did not work. A week of this product and the bad smell and infection are gone. Very easy to use. Now I use it once a month or less for precaution. Recommend it for sure.
