I have enjoyed using Abera products in the past, so I expected to like this retinol serum. And I mostly do! It goes onto my skin smoothly and feels good and hydrating. It has a relatively thick consistency, but it absorbs surprisingly quickly, and it plays well with other skincare products. I don't know how effective it has been, as that's always hard to measure, but I haven't had any problems or major issues while using it. Unfortunately, while the fragrance is light, it's too rosy and floral for my taste, and I don't like how it smells. I will continue to use this bottle, but I'm not sure I'd want to purchase it again.Abera says that their products are all completely cruelty-free. If so, that's great, but I've done some research, and I have never been able to corroborate that claim. If they are truly a cruelty-free brand, I wish they'd seek certification from some widely recognized animal welfare organization like PETA or Leaping Bunny so that it might be easier for conscientious shoppers to recognize animal-friendly products. Until then, this stuff gets three stars from me.

Great serum! It goes on smoothly and absorbs well. There is essentially no fragrance, and it does not cause any redness or irritation. It's a little pricier than I usually pay for skincare products, but it seems worthy of that price!
