I bought these locks for inside fence gates to secure the fence and a driveway gate. They work just fine and would be difficult to tamper with from the outside. They install easily and are also easy to disengage when needed to exit the backyard. I would recommend a larger, slightly thicker coupler for better security on an outside lock, but so far no beak-in attempts. Contains four digits to program yourself (don’t use your house address number, LOL!) that adds more difficulty to crack the lock code. I would not recommend for the outside of a gate as it might be easy to cut the coupler for entry

Both of the locks I purchased worked for a few weeks then locked up so we had to use a bolt cutter to remove them.

Works well using it on a trunk i keep outdoors. Did not rust. Easy to use and to set. I would recommend.

Works well now that we figured how to scramble the combination when locking the lock. The instructions were not clear.

These combination locks feel solid and well made. The 4-digit code is easy to set and gives extra security. They open and close smoothly, and the long shackle fits well on gates and lockers. The waterproof design is helpful for outdoor use.

For the price of these, I wasn't expecting too much, but the build quality is better than expected, and the manufacturer took some security steps that even main-stream lock companies (Ahem, Master...) don't do. There are hardened steel pins through the lock body where drilling attacks might be attempted. The shackle is decently hardened. (My hacksaw glanced over it without leaving a mark, but I wasn't going to take an angle grinder to it.) My attempt to shim the shackle without the correct combination entered failed. My attempt to decode the combination wheels or shim the mechanism from the gap between combination wheels and body did not yield immediate results, so while I still may not use this to protect Fort Knox, it is more than adequate for a school locker or my garden shed. My daughters LOVE how easy it is to change the combination. They pick a new combo nearly every day just because it's fun and easy, and the extra length on the shackle makes it a cinch to fit onto a locker with a recessed handle. Good quality at an entry-level price.
