Comparative to Brand Names
I was a bit hesitant buying a generic product, but I was pleasantly surprised. So I wanted to write a review to help inform other buyers. I am quite picky about my shampoo. I don’t want anything leaving any buildup on my scalp because that leads to issues for my sensitive skin. Organic products are the best products for me. I have tried many different tea tree shampoos and most have been fairly lackluster and I end up tossing most in the trash. If I don’t feel the tea tree oil scalp tingle, it’s a no-go for me! I love tea tree on my scalp because it helps to soothe it far more than any other organic plant or substance. The ingredients in Amazon’s shampoo are minimal, which makes it a great buy. I’m very particular about what I put in and on my body in general and I know many others do as well, so I planned to really critique this specific product. Amazon has been putting out some great name brand products and this tea tree shampoo is certainly one of them. My scalp gets squeaky clean and my hair stays soft, unlike many of the other brands that are sold on here. There are so many other shampoo options that seem to just smell like tea tree oil, but don’t have enough in it to actually benefit your hair and scalp. The smell of this one is absolutely delicious! You also get a really good lather that helps really clean the scalp. Its performance and quality far surpassed my initial expectations. Hair soft and clean, this product is definitely a contender. The only con or downside is that the bottle is very small. However, that was my fault for not reading how many ounces. I just assumed it’d be a normal shampoo bottle size. Although it’s small, the product works so well that I might just order two every time. Also it lathers so well that you don’t really have to use as much as you think. Hope this helps.

Amazon Basics Tea Tree Shampoo
Amazon Basics Tea Tree Shampoo WONDERFUL, luxurious smell and lather for scalp and hair. Helpful for many ailments and it works! No information of tea tree oil percentage; still very effective!

Good but not as good as name brand
Smells good. It's a bit heavy and takes extra rinsing to remove from hair. This is not as good as the name brand. It's worth it's price. That is all.

Nice shampoo for less cost
Like the shampoo. Feels good on my scalp and leaves it clean. Works as well as more expensive shampoo

I’d buy again
Works amazingly with my 13 year old son! No tingling feeling and smells amazing! Comes out great. You use it twice a week and he had had no flakes from dandruff! He had a severe case and this product cleared it up. I was iffy from the reviews, but I gave it a shot. It’s worth it.

Small, smells a bit weird
The size isn't great for the price. The cooling effect on my scalp is decent. The smell was pleasant at first, but then kind of turned into an pleasant chemically rubber smell.

Worth it
I dont think people give the amazon brand enough credit. This is a great shampoo and very affordable too. I will be buying it again.

One Wash Away From Becoming a Zen Master (With Great Hair)
Used this shampoo once and suddenly crave avocado toast and inner peace. No joke—the Green Tea scent hits and my bathroom instantly feels like a yoga retreat where everyone’s name is Sage or Willow or Burr. As for the actual product: it lathers quickly, rinses clean, and doesn’t leave that weird film some shampoos do. My hair feels fresh, light, and way too smug for a guy who just spent $5 on shampoo. It’s simple, it works, and it doesn’t try too hard to smell like a smoothie bar. Would I buy it again? Absolutely. My scalp is cleaner, my hair is softer, and I swear I almost said “namaste” to my mailman yesterday.
