Impressive system with simple setup
After extensive research for a wire free internal camera I decided on the Moobox. Packaging is great and adds to the impression of a quality product and the initial set up and pairing was a breeze. I did have a problem getting push notifications on my Android phone but after email exchange with the excellent support team at Moobox they identified the problem being with the anti virus software I was running. Once I rectified this all works great and have the app installed and working on both mine and the wifes phones. We have been so impressed with the quality and ease of use that we have purchased an additional camera which again was easy to add on to the hub so now have 2 cameras connected. There is, as always, room for improvement and the main area I'd like to see added is the ability to schedule when to record events. At present you have to manually set when to record motion events. I have been advised by Moobox that this has been formally added to their development plan so should hopefully be available soon.Keep up the good work.

Stylish IP Cam with easy Mobile operation and properly good Storage
After researching for literally days and dozens of reviews for IP wireless cams I finally settled on this. There isn't a single IP cam out there, as of April 2018, that has consistent high ratings or problems of some kind. So here's a quick review of it so far.Out of the box, it feels and looks like a quality item, design is nice and blends in well with decor, It has a separate hub which needs to connect to your router to upload your 'Events' to the Moobox server which gives you free 7 days cloud storage. The hub has a fair amount of internal Gb storage so need to mount an external memory card. Another plus is the free storage because if your cam was stolen or damaged during a burglary you still have that event on the cloud to download and show to the police, insurance etc.It was super quick and easy to set up with just pressing the buttons on the hub and the cam at the same time in the same room and they connect. It's that easy. Next you download the app and then you operate it from there. Note, it's not a PC device so is only operated and camera live stream via your phone or tablet. That's not an issue for me as I bought it for surveillance whilst I'm out, so obviously will be looking at it via my phone. The connection to my wi fi is fairly poor to be honest but I can't blame this camera for that as I have a Sky router and they are crap. Everything I own that uses wifi has a poor connection to it in my house. Besides, all of the other reviews I've read on ip camera's all report weak connection...so it's a common theme. I'm looking into buying a more powerful router anyway. The image quality is impressive, bright strong colours and it has 3 settings, low res, med and high. It's actually very good on med. I can hear clearly what's going on through the camera's mic but for two way speaking the built in speaker is a bit low. It is usable but there is room for improvement. I would suggest Skype if you want to talk 2 ways by video anyway, this is no substitute for that.Night vision works but image quality was a bit grainy. I'm still experimenting with it a bit, including the motion sensor, which triggers it to come on and record an event. I tried it and it sent me a push notification and saved a 15 sec clip of the event to the cloud to view or download. It will then do another 15s clip etc. However, if someone is breaking in your house they will instantly see the infared lights go off and destroy your little cam anyway. However, by then you will have been alerted and then you can dial 999 (in the UK) to alert the police. It's better than nothing, right? One thing that niggles, on the app there is an icon of a camera, presumably to take a 'snapshot'. However, nothing happens when selected. It doesn't stop me wanting another one for my other downstairs room but if something is there as a functionality then it should work.Hence the 4/5 rather than a 5/5.For the price you aren't going to get any better than this for the internal hub storage, free 7 days cloud, high quality image cam with easy set up and easy mobile operation. Also, and this is important, it's wireless, can be placed upright on a surface or mounted at 180 degrees to a magnetic holder. Apparently the internal battery to this cam can last up to 4 months on a single charge - which is superb. I'm getting another - but developers sort out that camera snapshot icon glitch.

Buy something else
I've been struggling with these cameras and hub for more than a year now. Initially to put in my flat in London to work over a HomeFi network. Had real problems getting connection to the hub and cameras from the internet (mainly didn't work) . Tech support did send me the ProXT version to try but that was even worse so had to go back to the 720p system. We then moved the cameras to the house on decent broadband and found that the cameras don't connect well between floors (where the hub is connected by ethernet to the router) so we switched the hub to Wifi and put it closer to where the cameras were located. That's worked ok for a while but about a week ago the hub stopped connecting via WiFi and despite lots of experimentation the hub has failed to reconnect and the cameras now won't connect at all.I now have to pay to send the defective hub and cameras back to Moo box (not happy about that) so they can investigate further. So, overall based on 14 months use, buy something else.

Good value but very glitchy
I bought this product a few months back. The set up was relatively easy, although I felt the instructions were phrased poorly and didn't always make sense. I reckon some of the wording may have been directly translated from a different language. Regardless, considering the price point, i was happy with the packaging and the hardware felt sturdy enough. Initially i was satisfied. However, after several months of use, I've now decided to expand my home camera system away from MooBox for a few reasons:1. The app has continued to be extremely glitchy. Sometimes it fails to start, open or frequently crashes. The MooxBox support team have always been super helpful but I don't think I should need to be in continuous contact with them.2. Audio functionality of the camera is very poor. Despite this being an auxiliary feature, it should be removed entirely because the audio quality is terrible.3. Lack of adjustment features such as scheduling. Other providers are more advanced and at a similar price.4. Loss of confidence about who MooBox are and what their long term ambitions are in a fragmented market. Their website feels quite light and I'm not entirely sure who I'm dealing with.Overall, I've lost faith with my MooBox camera system due to reliability concerns and a lack of confidence that the ongoing support will still be there many years from now as I aim to expand and further invest into my home camera system. If you're looking for a cheap solution then MooBox is it. However, if reliability and confidence in the camera system is more important, then I would recommend you shop around.
