The filters do a wonderful job keeping the dust and particles from re-entering the area. While the included Electric Floor Brush attachment does a great job on hard floors, it wasn't as effective on my area rugs. I might need to invest in a separate rug attachment for a deeper clean. However, overall, this is a fantastic cordless vacuum for hard floors, and the quiet operation and easy-to-use features make it a great value.
