These speakers are not cheap, but don’t be put off by their small size in relation to cost. They are well worth the money when partnered with equipment of comparable quality. Sourced via Tidal Hi-Fi or FLAC, through the Chord Mojo DAC and Acram A19 amplifier, connected with quality cables, they produce a sound which I don’t think can be beaten at the price. Before purchase I auditioned them against a leading contender at the same price. Detail, dynamics and stereo imagery are superb. They are very transparent and make it easy to differentiate between good recordings and a bad ones.They are ideal for a small room and , because of their efficiency and power handling, would not be out of place in a large one. Because of the small size of my room, they are positioned quite close to a rear wall, mounted on solid stands. Due to the close proximity of the wall, I have found they perform at their best when leaving the supplied foam padding in the rear ports, as the bass does not require enhancing. If there was more space they would probably sound better with the foam removed. The provision of this option is a good design feature. As with all stand mount speakers, it is not possible to achieve low bass. This is overcome with the inclusion of a sub woofer set at the right cross over frequency.
