Biolite Solar Slate 5 Panel - Black

Hung the lantern from the central hook in my 6 person tent. Provided a good quality of light evenly across the tent. Had no issues with the Bluetooth connection and liked the fact I see how much time there was remaining so could plan to recharge or not (especially useful since it was an unpowered pitch). On low light setting the battery lasts for 90+ hours so more than enough for a few hours each night of a 2 week camping holiday. Overall, pleased with the purchase even though it's a luxury item.

Arrived before time didn't just turn up I was informed by e-mail of projected time which I love. Unit itself is very well made and very easy to use even works in subdued light but not as good as direct sunlight, for optimum us it has a clever cross hairs just point at sun when dot is in middle ready to charge. Very useful and green robust which I've come to expect with Biolite. Very handy when camping.

Wenn die Sonne scheint ist alles ruck zuck aufgeladen. Doch das nächste mal würde ich es mit integrierten Akku bestellen.

Returned it 2 days after Christmas. Didn't work. A disappointing Christmas gift

Great Panel works really good. Bought it for backpacking am a little nervous it is going to crack by dropping my back. Someone suggested a iPad case.

Der interne Akku ist etwas zu klein um wirklich ein aktuelles Handy laden zu können. Die Solarzelle braucht hier in München einen ganzen Tag echte Sonne um den internen Akku voll zu laden. Nettes Gimmick, aber nichts für die wirklich autarke Stromversorgung abseits der Zivilisation. Eher was für den Tag am See. Super Vearbeitung, hält auch Regentage im Freien gut aus. Die Aufhängung und Aufstellung mittels des Metallbügels funktioniert super. Gut durchdacht.
