It works easily! Caught 2 rats!
I set up two of these Ucatch traps after buying them in November 2025, glad it came in a pack of 2. At first, I didnโt see any results, the food was gone, but no rats were caught. I honestly started doubting whether Iโd even set them correctly or put the bait in the right place, especially because I left them alone for a while and forgot about them until December. When I remembered, I went back and watched the setup videos to see exactly how to load the bait and position the trap. This time, I paid close attention and made a mental note of how I set them to ensure that I press on the back so it can snap when a rat enters. Within about a week or thereabout, they caught two small rats! The rats were pretty small, but thankfully I could see the tail from outside but not the bodies. I had previously seen rats in my garage months ago, no idea where they came from, freaked me out! Itโs getting colder in Minnesota so they probably found a way to get in for warmth. After a while I stopped seeing them, even though I still noticed poop droppings, they had damaged one of my fur winter coat. That made me suspect they were still around. Sure enough, Ucatch got them!! When it was time to throw them out, I was honestly scared and grossed out. I thought I might have to pop the trap open and physically handle the rats. On December 11, 2025, I watched the instructions video again and realized how easy it actually was: I just pressed down, released the rat into a trash bag outside, and that was it. I made sure to do it outside, just in case (God forbid) anything was still alive and tried to get into the house. Thankfully, all was fine. I rarely write reviews, but I had to come back and say these traps really work. For the second round, I added more peanut butter (same PB I used to catch these ones) in the bait compartment (I see they sell replacements on Amazon but I donโt need those now, just in case there are more rats lurking around. I didnโt need to clean the trap; I simply opened it to drop the rats into the bag. There was no smell, no noise, and it functioned exactly as expected. One important note: when I was trying to reset the trap after realizing it hadnโt caught anything the first time, I was fiddling with it to see how it worked inside, and it snapped on my finger and fell to the floor. I ended up with a small bruise on my right thumb. So donโt play around with it once itโs set, watch the video and follow the instructions carefully. Interestingly, one rat that died ate the bait fully, while the other one that also died hadnโt eaten much of the peanut butter at all. I had put a generous amount of bait, so maybe it only got a taste before it was caught. I absolutely hate dealing with rodents, but this product made it manageable. Great product!

Great traps for catching rodents and keeping pets safe
Iโm honestly so relieved I found these traps, theyโve been exactly what I was looking for. The biggest reason I chose them was the enclosed design, and it absolutely delivers on peace of mind. I have a curious dog who gets into everything, and with traditional traps I was always worried about her getting hurt. With these, thereโs no exposed mechanism, so thereโs zero risk of her getting her nose or paws snapped. That alone makes them worth it for me. Theyโre also incredibly easy to use. The removable bait cup makes setup quick and mess-free, and I really like that I can set and dispose of everything without having to touch anything unpleasant. Itโs a completely hands-free process, which is a huge plus. Performance-wise, they work exactly as advertised. When they trigger, itโs quick and cleanโno mess, no struggle, and no second-guessing whether it worked. Just effective and straightforward. I also appreciate the thoughtful design overall. The dual entry seems to make a difference in actually catching rodents, and placing them around the house or outside has been simple and hassle-free. Overall, these traps strike the perfect balance between effectiveness and safety. If you have pets or just want a cleaner, easier solution, these are a no-brainer. โญโญโญโญโญ (5/5)

Had these traps set up for just over a week and have caught 6 rodents so far!
Weโve had these traps set up for just over a week near our chicken coop and have already caught 6 rodents! We use chicken feed in the bait trap since thatโs what attracted them in the first place and weโve found them super effective. Theyโre so easy to set up, empty, and reset - plus the kills are clean so thereโs no nasty stuff to have to clean out. They seem to be really sturdy too, my dogs have dragged them around once or twice and you arenโt able to tell at all. We would say theyโre well worth the buy!

Don't expect this to work on anything other than a small mouse
I am not one to normally rate products, but I felt this one was something I should address. For starters, the product came in a timely manner, the directions, the set up, the price, and the bait install were all easy and good. The problem I had was the power of it. I set two traps up (one inside my garage and one outside of a small rock garden) in an effort to catch a rat that was living under a no basement house. Within minutes of setting up the trap the rat took the bait from the trap in the rock garden and the trap snapped onto it. Unfortunately, the rat was still very much alive, easily pried it's head from the trap, and ran back under the house. Time will tell if it parishes under the house leaving a smell. The garage trap I left overnight and found out in the morning a squirrel crawled it's way into the garage and was caught in the trap, dried blood was splattered all over the device. I was under the impression that it was dead and I could dispose of it, until the creature began to violently thrash about. I removed it from the trap onto my yard and am forced to either watch this thing limp away or end it's life with a shovel. In short: the trap works, but unless you want to catch nothing more than a field mouse, it is not worth it.

Worked on day one! No blood, no mess, easy to empty the dead mouse.
Worked the first day! We have had a mouse driving our cat crazy for over a month now. Our cat brought it in alive to play with and it got loose in the house. It has been eating the cat's food at night too. The cat has been trying to get him, but he was behind and under a large piece of furniture with some peanut butter in the bait cup. I put the trap behind the cat litter box near the furniture I knew where he was but in a place where the cat couldn't get to because of the narrow gap. This morning.. POP! And that was the end of Mr. Mouse! Sorry little guy. Nice clean kill too. No blood or anything. Picked up the trap, squeezed the spring loaded lever and dropped him into a gallon freezer Ziplock bag. Highly recommended! Trap worked on day one. Can't get any better than that. By the way, the mouse was about 7 inches long on the body, and had about a 5 inch tail.

Easy and safe - best traps ever!
Living in the desert, we have lots of critters - most of which are welcome. But we had a recent invasion of desert rats on some outdoor potting shelves and the mess they made was disgusting and unhealthy. These traps work perfectly. The little bait holders are easy to fill with a small amount of peanut butter. And the rats can't resist it. Best of all, the cactus wrens (who also love peanut butter) can't reach the protected trap part. The traps are easy to set without fear of finger damage, and easy to dispose of the rat without touching the yucky bits. Just press down on the big paddle & the rat drops out, leaving the trap ready for another day. Effective, easy, & worth the price. Updating to say these traps are "the gift that keeps on giving" - well-made and easy to keep baited. Rats can't seem to resist them.

It works but had to throw out after first use
This trap works, I caught one rat the first night I set it out. However, it didnโt kill the rat immediately, instead, the ratโs head was sticking out where youโre supposed to press down to set the trap. It was a pretty big one so I was not able to release the rat at all and had to throw the whole trap out with the rat. It also took the rat a whole day to die, which was quite traumatizing. I got this trap because I want an outdoor trap that kill immediately, the only options Iโve found so far are this type of trap or the electric one. I thought this would be more cost effective than the electric one but if I have to throw it out after one use, the cost can add up quickly. I still have 3 more in the set so Iโll how the rest go.

Very effective
Super easy to use. Basically contactless with rodents that were caught. You got to use a bait that your rat likes, I used corn cuz theyโve been eating my corn plants. Peanut butter was not their thing. Caught 3 rats in one night, only one of them was not dead right away

Efficient murder machine.
This device is an absolute murder machine. We have an infestation of chipmunks tunneling all over our yard and gardens. I had 4 victims in under 2 hours. It was a cold and miserable day so in the late afternoon the yard was mostly clear of these demons anyways. I filled in the endless hole they'd dug in my garden and replaced the trap. There was another customer in it when I awoke. I'm not sure how I feel about the packaging. These came shrink wrapped in plastic which isn't as readily recyclable but is the least amount of material possible for such an oddly shaped item. I neglected to find the instructions as they were stuffed inside one of the traps, but managed to catch my first demon without the instructions. Very easy to use. I do appreciate the extra bait cups as they could get lost accidentally I suppose.

This Rat trap works GREAAAATTT!!!! 3 the first few hours ....amazing! But only last a few months...
First off, I never write reviews the same day I get the item. I've had this for less than 8 hours now. I've caught 3 rats so far. Am I impressed???? Yes, so, don't believe or put much weight on anyone that says they don't work. I've tried several (some much more expensive methods) and NONE have worked at all. I've caught NO rats at all with the other traps I've tried. This trap... unbelievable. 3 in the first few hours of use. Update, I'm up to 12 over a period of a month of using them on and off. Fill the small reservoir (from underneath) with some cheap peanut butter...and I also smear some on the 'plate' on the inside to increase the 'temptation' factor. And presto, check back within 24 hours and you'll likely have a fresh catch. I tested it with a stick, it's fast and hard, and will perform it's job quickly. They won't know what hit them. Rats are about the only animal I can think of that doesn't bother me too much to see go. Be patient with it, and ... it's a good idea to drill a small hole somewhere in it and attach a wire to it so that it can be tied down. We have coyotes here always looking for a free meal to take on the road with them....so, tie'm down. An update after a few months... these traps keep on keepin'on...caught 6 more the past few days after noticing droppings in our greenhouse. But..the 'trap lock' plastic mechanism has given out on both, I'm not surprised, the trap does work well, and does the 'kill' fast and efficiently, but.... using plastic parts in places where they will give out over time...well, that's just bad design. So, at this point, they are going to thrown out since they won't 'close' or 'set' anymore. Great while that lasted..but now... they're landfill...
