I think they’re cheap and thin. I will be on the lookout for better quality and maybe in black.

Perfect for my Singer machine

As many may not know, these are absolutely necessary for sewing machines that have an upright spool holder. It helps to keep the thread from advancing to fast - if you have a heavy foot - and from tangling. These also help with the thread feed in order for the machine to have proper tension while sewing. ~ With that said, I needed some new ones as my machine was in for service and the felt did not come home with my machine. When I received these, they were a bit thin so I put two on the spindle and everything is fine. Great price and much easier than driving back to the Sew/Vac (120 mile trip) to get another felt for my machine.

I dont expect too much from things like this but if just a few had holes on center i wouldnt have complained. The material itself is very thin as well. The combination causes larger spools to still be able to make contact with the unprotected machine.

I needed these for a 1913 singer 66 and a mid 60’s Kenmore. I hesitantly ordered them because some reviews said they are thin and the holes are slightly off center. Well, it’s true on both accounts, but this is not really a precision thing people. For what they are they’re perfect. I use them under thread spools and cut one up to make an oiler for the singer. For both jobs these were the perfect tool. If you’re gonna break out the digital calipers and look for top dead center within .030”, you’re gonna find discrepancies. If you’re using these for a sewing machine, you’re looking in the right place.

This is very very thin felt as compared to what other vendors sell for the same purpose. I would not recommend or buy these again and have ordered from another source rather than use these.

I sew with and restore vintage sewing machines for a hobby. I purchased the felt pads to go with a Singer 15-91 that I just finished. The pads are a bit thin but good quality. One review said paper thin and they exaggerate. You can stack two if you need it thicker. I will purchase these again when I find another machine to work on.
