Excellent little piece
I got an Ultegra R8000 to try to run a 40t cassette without resorting to "bandaids" like a normal Roadlink or having to modify cable pull to use a mountain derailleur. It did clear the 40t without even maxing out the factory B-screw, and it shifted surprisingly well for having 2"+ of free chain in smaller gears. Jumped on this to see if I could really run a 10-42t XD cassette and free up some range. First thing I notice when I tighten up the bolts- without touching the B-screw from where I had it, it's now got about as much free chain in the 40t as I had in the 11t before! Back that way off, and it's got probably 2 more teeth wrapped in the big cog, and free chain in smaller cogs is maybe 25% more than a normal road cassette, rather than 3-4x as much. Like everything else I've gotten from Wolf Tooth, it looks and feels quality. It's not super-cheap, but then it's relatively low-volume, US-made, and I don't think the price is high either, given that. Well worth the price of, say, a half-decent chain, IMO.

Works well with Ultegra RX800 derailleur and 11-40 cassette
Used the Road link DM with Ultegra RD-RX800 rear derailleur (the one with a clutch) to shift on a 11-40 cassette and it improved the overall performance significantly. To be clear, the medium cage RX800 derailleur can already clear 40T with careful b-screw adjustment, but the shift performance for smaller cogs is suboptimal due to reduced chain wrap. I also found it became quite sensitive to slight cable tension difference so to dial in perfectly is a bit tricky. This b-link from WTC improves chain wrap by offseting the position of the derailleur so that the b-screw not longer needs to be almost maxed out to clear the largest cog (yes it's very important to readjust the b-screw after installation) and the increased chain wrap helps with the shifting performance. The Road link DM is very well made. Still a bit pricey for what it is but it's a simple and easy solution.

Works 2x with 11-46 Cassette!
Excellent product. I had a low ratio of 1-1 (34-34) on my all road bike and that wasn't enough for me in the mountains. With this, a new chain and an XT cassette I now have a low gear that is 34-46 but still have 50-11 high gear for the road. It will even cross chain, not that I would ride it like that. You will need a 126 link chain and chain tool. The Shimano 105 chain works well and is affordable. I used my existing Ultegra R8000 derailleur. I didn't have to adjust anything but the b-screw.

So far, so good.
Will update if anything is worthy of demoting. Used this with and Ultegra RX r800 and an XT 11-42 cassette. The RX is rated to hit 34-36. I did not need to extend my b-screw. Just a slight limit adjustment and b adjustment. You remove part of the derailleur and replace it with this. UPDATE: Zero issues. This thing has been put through as much of "the wringer" as possible for an RD upgrade. Great tool for a cheap and effective upgrade.

Allowed switch to larger cassette, smooth shifting
Allowed smooth shifting to the largest 40 cassette on my gravel bike with shimano grx400 (original was 11-36 cassette) I could go 11-42 if I wanted to as well now. I didn’t need to fiddle with any of the other shifter settings.

A great budget option to boost your derailleur’s max cog handling.
High quality alloy, machining and finish as with all Wolf Tooth products. This roadlink allows me to run a 1x with a 10-42 cassette with my Ultegra RX rear derailleur. Keep in mind that while this does allow you to run a larger max cog than is spec’d by the derailleur manufacturer and still keep decent chain wrap, it doesn’t increase the actual chain capacity of the mech, which is dictated by the cage length. I’m sure I voided a warranty on the RD with my setup but the gear range is well worth it.

Excellent for 11-34 cassette
Worked great for 11 speed dura ace di2. If you want to keep the dura ace rear mech but want big cassette, this is the way. You might need to replace chain with 1-2 extra links depending on your current chain. Or not.

Moves derailleur further away. Cannot recommend.
I bought this to move my sram derailler further out to fit a 42t 10 speed cassette. Due to the design of all wolf links, this will not work very well. The problem with these is that it moves the derailleur further away from the wheel instead of moving further out and back in line with the original derailleur mount. This causes you to have to adjust the low stop further into the wheel to reach the first small cog and it also results in the derailleur having to now reach further in to get to the biggest cassette cog. I got it to work but my shifts were horrible. I would simply not recommend these links period. A $10 link from eBay which positions the derailleur back in line with the mount on the dropout was the best solution I found. The eBay links retained my original shifting smoothness and didn’t cause the derailleur to have to over extend to reach the big cog. These wolf links are overpriced for what they are and they caused me more headaches trying to get them to work. Supposedly these work better with shimano derailleurs, but honestly I don’t see how that would be any better. The derailleur is still getting moved OUT and away from the wheel with these wolf links regardless of derailleur brand. Take a look at the picture and videos. Note how the derailleur sits further away from the dropout compared to the original dropout mount. This is bad.

Exactly what you expect it to do.
This is the substitute option for increasing your rear mech range. This replaces the mech hanger hinged section on the r7000 rear mech, that actually mounts to the mech hanger...... Hope that makes sense. It requires removal of the original arm and small shim from the mech and this DM link replaces them both. The effect is to drop the mech from it's original position and open a broader potential range of gears. I bought to increase my rear range on a r7000 set up from 11/34 to 11/40. In reality ... The rear mech will accommodate 11/36 without use. .. A pilo replacement mech hanger with a slightly longer drop and tweak to the B-limit screw has delivered the 11/40 range " anyway " ... The DM link will actually mean I can potentially run 11/42 or11/46 if the 11/40 proves insufficient. I hasten to add, this is on a 2x set up. For completeness, I am running... R7000 shifters R7000 front mech GRX 600 48/31 cranks R7000 rear mech Pilo mech hanger SLX 11/40 cassette All gears options available cleanly from either front ring.

Works with 2x
FYI, the manufacturer specifies that this for 1x (single chainring drive trains) and not compatible with 2x. Works brilliantly with my 2x GRX gravel setup.

RoadLink DM Improves Shifting with Larger Cassettes
Easily installed, the RoadLink DM notably improved the RD-8000 GS shifting smoothness on the SRAM PG-1170 11-36T cassette installed on my bike. I readjusted the B-screw by loosening it. Now, my rear derailleur is shifting as smooth as if equipped with a 11-34T cassette.
