I bought this to put on our brand new Canon SX50 camera. The adapter installed easily and "clicks" when correctly in place. The filter fits the adapter perfectly, but you do have to be careful not to cross-thread it when putting it on. If you don't, it's possible that you might strip the plastic threads in which case the filter won't stay in. The hardest part was getting the cord through the tiny hole in the lens cap, but once I did it made for a good fit and had plenty of length from the strap to the camera. I bought this primarily to protect the camera lens, but it looks like any 67mm filter could be used as well so that you could use UV, polarizing, etc. filters.

This was a very good kit for the price, and met my needs. I mainly ordered it for the step up adapter ring as a spare for quick changing lenses. I was thinking I wouldn't use the UV filter, as I already have one. However, since it arrived I compared the UV filter from the kit to my current UV filter and the one from this kit seems to achieve a better effect! The threads were a little stiff at first as others mentioned, but with some careful threading I got it to thread on right. Now it threads easily and secures tightly as it should. I haven't used the lens cap as mine works fine and looks nearly identical. Overall, if you need a spare quick clip step up ring for a Canon Powershot SX30 IS (among other cameras), as well as a surprisingly nice UV lens, this is a good place to look.

This product does fit properly on the Canon SX50. The adaptor ring is good quality. I have no concerns about it getting stuck or falling off. I had purchased a previous product, which did not perform as represented. I am happy with this low priced item, as it is protecting a valuable camera from lens damage.

I have a Canon SX20 and got this combo of filter & adapter.Nothing to complain, works as intended. The filter doesn't seem to be bad for the price.Obviously I don't know how much it filters UV and how much it leaves visible light unchanged. Also, I can't be sure about the quality of the coating.However, it does its job protecting the lenses and working like if it isn't there when taking photos. The filter is very clear and reflection from it is greenish (which according to some information is typical of multi-coating).I can only see some difference compared to not using the filter in situations like shooting almost against direct sunlight, but even then it's barely noticeable.The brand is Nicna, I don't know why it isn't shown in the images. Probably not the best choice for those with professional cameras and expensive lenses, but perfectly good for a camera that usually doesn't even use filters.

Order did not make its stated delivery date. Pushed back another 2 days after I was informed it was out for delivery. Still waiting as of 1/4/24. Will cancel if it doesn't arrive on 6th as date was updated to. Last minute change of delivery dates has been more common with my Amazon orders.**Update evening of 1/4, product arrived, product is good quality for the price. Would buy again.

i was worried that they won't fit before purchasing. came on day as promised by seller. installed the adapter-just screw clockwise until it stops, screw filter on to adapter, snap lens cap on. adapter and filter are not snap on. i like screw on because i tried taking them off a few times and they came out easily. the lens cap is easier taking off and putting it on than one came with camera. i don't know the quality of filter but i don't care. my main purpose of purchasing them was to protect the real camera lens. i am so satisfied with the products

The filter adapter went on with no problems, but it could not/would not get tight. It wobbles and is loose on the bayonet mount. It is made of metal and is nicely made, but that is of no consolation since it won't work right.I bought a different brand. It's made of plastic and is poorly finished...but it fits right, goes on easily and is nice and snug.

This 67mm lens accessory kit does in fact fit onto the lens of the Canon SX50 HS, albeit precariously. NOTE: There are no instructions included with the kit. One must be very careful when gently "locking" the plastic adaptor ring onto the lens (it does not actually "screw" onto the lens). Once it is locked in place on the lens one should not attempt to "over-tighten" it! It is only plastic and will probably strip-out and be ruined. So once it feels as though it is "snugly" locked into place--leave it alone. Then be just as careful and patient when "gently" screwing the ND filter onto the adaptor. The filter will not screw in very far--maybe only ¾ of a turn. It will feel snug at this point and again, should be left as is. Finally, placing the included 67mm lens cap is a breeze. The cap fits and functions very well. I purchase a few extra lens cap holders (includes 3M dot tape and elastic lens barrel holder. They work great together.Having said the above, I still have to admit that this entire kit (with the exception of the lens cap) does not exactly inspire confidence. I have told my wife when she uses her camera (the SX50 HS) she needs to be very careful because I do not believe the filter nor the adaptor will stay on the lens should it be bumped or nudged around.Still, for the price, I believe it is worth it to at least make an "attempt" at protecting the camera lens. So I am recommending it--giving it three stars.

Was as advertised. It was a bit hard to screw it on, but that's understandable as the camera doesn't really have threads like other cameras and I was a bit nervous to force it. Hold the lens tightly when putting it on and you will be fine. I feel a lot better having this filter on to protect my lens.I once scratched the lens of a long zoom lens by wearing the camera around my neck with no lens cap on, and walking through brush, looking for birds. Wanted to be ready to capture a picture right away. Ever since then I always put on a filter to protect the lens of any camera I own. Not all point and shoot cameras are designed to fit a filter, but so far thanks to Amazon I've always been able to find something to fit. Thanks!
