Aluminum 9.1" Long Double Socket Arm for 1.5 Inches/C Size / 38mm Ball Accessories, Powerful Clamp, Heavy Duty, Compatible with RAM Mount, iBolt and More

Purchased this to get more room between the steering wheel and the depth finder on my boat. Did exactly what I needed it to.

I got this WindFrd RAM mount 9” arm for my boat. If you do any fishing from a boat, you know that a good, solid fish finder mount is crucial. But I got this mount arm actually to put a headlight on the bow of the boat, not a finder. The arm it’s replacing is a (WindFrd) 4.5” arm while this one is 9” for a little more height. This arm is very beefy! The shorter arm weighs a little over 11 ounces. This longer one, twice as long, weighs almost 28 ounces, well over twice as much. Like I said, this arm is beefy and provides great support. This arm also has a very good powder-coat finish and the over-all fit and finish is of excellent quality. The two 1.5” ball sockets are smooth and nicely machined to make a firm grip on the balls and move when needed but hold when wanted.The price for this stout arm at the time of this review is $47, which might seem like a lot. But for the quality and strength, I think it is a good deal.

If you need a 1.5" ball to 1.5" ball clamp that's longer than most, this might be a good choice. The clamp is heavy (1.77 lb. without the ball ends) and made of two clamshell sections of solid cast aluminum with a single central bolt to tighten it. This does not include the balls/ ball plates. The machining is clean, the finish is good, and it grips very solidly when tightened down. This is a big, long clamp (9 inches). The same company makes multiple sizes for other situations, and all are good. They all clamp well to RAM balls, as well as to their own ball plates. Hard to beat, if this is the size you need.

I've used WINDFRD products in the past and have been very satisfied with their performance and quality. This 9.1" Class C arm is the largest offering I have tried from them. The construction is the same as their smaller arms, same casting, finish, and the hardware is all stainless steel. The fitment of the 1.5" ball joints into the sockets are perfect and grips tight. Compatible with a number of brands of Class C gear I own. The arm holds securely and does not sag or move. The finish is very durable and should last against salt water for years. Very satisfied with it. WINDFRD has my recommendation.

Very nice double socket extension for 'C' size 1.5" ball. I was surprised at the weight since it is very heavy. This extension is solid aluminum (inside is concave but still thick material) and not hollow tube or composite plastic. Should hold very securely under most conditions to give that extra reach where needed. I would have preferred that it also had a second spring although it is not actually required to operate properly, just my preference. Highly recommended.

This mount is LONG - great if you need to mount your item somewhere low but be able to see it. While the 1.5" ball may seem a bit on the large side, if you have something of even moderate weight extended out as far as this arm (9") will go, the added heft is nice. This is a great alternative to the "name brand" ones at a much lower price. An added bonus to this, is the fact that it included instructions (not really needed but its the thought that counts) as well as a catalog showing what other products they sell. Again, not needed, but as so many products these days come in a plain brown box with no documentation whatsoever, this is a nice touch.I would recommend and would buy from this company again.

I ordered this to replace the 6" socket arm for my RAM printer mount, for my Brother PJ-722 printer. The way I had the printer mounted (around the base of the laptop mount), the arm was a bit too short to be useful. This moved it out to be perfectly positioned, and the paper no longer feeds down between the center console and the passenger seat. Despite being a longer arm, it still is rock solid when going over bumps in the roadway.

It is currently sitting about $15 cheaper than on the name-brand's site, but every bit as sturdy.If you're a fan of the original RAM Mounts, this will be right up your alley, if that interests you, but much can be found on the Amazon Marketplace... much can be found.Very worthy alternative to the originals that works just as well; very solid piece, that I'd recommend to all my overlanding and crawling buddies, for sure. Great socket arm!
