704 Gear Urban Ranger Lite: The Little Scrappy Underdog That Could!
The 704 Gear Urban Ranger Lite is like the scrappy underdog in every action movie—the one that might not be the biggest, but always gets the job done. With a 2.91-inch D2 steel blade, this little beast is sharp, durable, and ready for everyday carry. It’s compact enough to disappear in your pocket but still big enough to handle business when called upon—kind of like a secret agent’s backup weapon. The G10 handle? Solid, grippy, and feels like it was made for real-world use. It won’t slip, even if your hands are sweaty from heroically defusing a bomb (or, you know, opening a bag of beef jerky). The reversible pocket clip makes it easy to carry for lefties and righties alike—because every man deserves a good knife, no matter which hand he favors.Final Verdict:The Urban Ranger Lite is lightweight, tough, and ready for action. It won’t break the bank, but it will cut through whatever you need—whether that’s rope, tape, or an impromptu apple in the wild. Score: 8.5/10 🔪🔥

Have not been disapppointed, great knife!
5th 704 knife I bought. Bought as a gift for my son. Sharp and great quality knives at a great price.

Great EDC knife.
Saw his video on the knife and decided I needed another EDC knife. For the price, it's really nice. Good grip and smooth action. I really how high the clip is so it's almost hidden under a belt.

Great for the price.
Really enjoy this knife. Very sharp right out of the box. Perfect size for me.I think most people will like it.

Not bad, but there are better options for about the same price
I appreciate 704 being a small business started by a content creator, it takes a lot to get a business up and running, and as far as I can tell from my limited time with the knife it is well made and packaged very well. The problem is that the Civivi Mini Praxis exists. These two knives are extremely similar, but the Praxis is only a couple of dollars more, and is the better knife overall. The Praxis locks open more reliably, closes easier, is sharper, and is slightly lighter. Comfort is subjective, and the knives are very similar here as well, but I prefer the finger grooves on the Praxis. As a standalone knife, the 704 is quite good. It has a D2 blade which is fantastic for the price, G10 handles, smooth action, great grippy texture on the G10, and the action is quite smooth, if not slightly too stiff. The detent is a little too aggressive, when closing the knife it will hang on the detent and then will practically slam shut when you get past it. Make sure your fingers are out of the way. I have not yet had this knife fully lock open when using the flipper alone. You have to combine the flipper with a flick of the wrist. Not terrible, but I don't have that issue with similar knives.Sharpness out of the box is not great. It even has a warning on it that it has been professionally sharpened and to be careful. It cannot cut paper or shave. I don't need a knife to shave, though I'm happy when it can (the Praxis shaves smoothly) but not cutting paper I see as an issue. I'll have to sharpen this knife before I choose to carry it. I have the tools to do this, but don't believe you should have to sharpen a knife right out of the box.Overall, for its current price (less than $30) it's hard to complain. The core materials are great, and I'm sure with the correct lube and sharpening my complaints will be taken care of.

Better than expected
I bought this knife as a throw down EDC because every time I spend a bunch on a knife, I lose it within a week. Sharp out of the box and held up well for over a year. Will definitely buy another when the time comes!

Good build
Likes: easy opening, no play or blade movement, smooth deployment, and great lockup when the blade is deployed. I also like the feel/grip on the handle. Good grip in the hand, no hot spots but larger hands will have trouble keeping four fingers on it. The dislikes: little on the heavy side for a small knife and blade came dull. Overall great knife, great price, pick one up!!!

Meh…
Decent knife for the money. Pocket clip placement is obstructive and can create hot spots during extended use.
