Versatile strimmer. Excellent customer service.
I had never come across this make before but chose the WeeLun strimmer because it is advertised as a lightweight strimmer that takes metal blades and is capable of mowing small patches of grass. There are other strimmers that have similar functions but often ones that take blades are classed as brush cutters and tend to be petrol powered, a lot heavier and significantly more expensive. The box contained parts of the main strimmer, multiple metal and plastic blades, pre-cut strimmer line, assembly tools (hex wrench and screw driver), charger, push stand (slides/skids) and battery. I ordered the combination that included two 4.0AH batteries. This strimmer can be used in many other ways than a conventional strimmer for example on its side to cut edges guided by a wheel, as a metal blade brush cutter and using the slider attachments as a mower for small patches of grass. My requirements included using it to mow a slope in my garden and to have the capability to clear undergrowth too rough for a normal strimmer. This is a sophisticated piece of equipment with many functions such that people will use it in different ways. I will not attempt a comprehensive review but I will highlight a couple of issues of interest. When compared with other cordless multifunction strimmer/brush cutters the WeeLun strimmer uses an M8 drive whereas many others in a similar price range use M5. This suggests to me that the attachments fitting the drive are more robust on this strimmer. The strimmer is supplied with plastic blades which are 180mm long and metal blades which are 160mm long. If the flying plastic blades or strimmer cable lengths are used a cutter head has to be fitted. Having the cutter head in place has the effect of lowering the cut. The strimmer is supplied with a pair of skids. The closest cut possible using these skids is about 75mm. I tried cutting the grass using the metal blades as recommended but the 75mm high cut was ineffectual. I therefore fitted the cutter head and flying plastic blades to lower the cut and found this worked reasonably well. When I checked with the website description I could see that the skids supplied to me were not the same as pictured. It looked as if the skids pictured would allow a lower cut. I contacted the supplier and explained the issue. They responded very quickly and said they would send me a set of skids with the previous design. The supplier indicated that using the lower design meant I had to be careful adjusting the cutting height to make sure the cutter did not foul the ground. There are various changes in design of the second set of skids I received the most important one is that the second set do not have an additional plastic reinforcing section which stops the skid being pushed in fully. This allows the replacement skid to sit 2 cm lower. The lower skid results in a good quality cut using the metal blades as recommended for mowing grass. My experience also shows how helpful the supplier was in dealing with a problem. I imagine the same result could be achieved by removing the extra plastic yourself although it might risk the warranty.I had selected a lightweight strimmer of this nature because I wanted to use it on sections of a hedge that are impossible to reach with a hedge trimmer. It has worked very well for this but one of the trade offs is that its power does not match heavier strimmers. Overall I am happy with the strimmer and would order again..

Looking good
Plenty of variations about but only had two outings at the allotment and looking good so far. Plenty of life in the battery for a couple of hours. Using the metal baldes, as still fighting my way through a forest I inherited. Easy to handle and lightweight . My plot has small levels so like the way head swilvels for doing the edges a plus. So far very impreseed..

Fantastic product, I was pleasantly surprised
I spent ages reading reviews on loads of these cordless brush cutters, compared the different blades and batteries included etcI decided to spend a little more on this one and I'm very glad that I did.Well built, not flimsy at allLightweight and easy to manage.Took 5 minutes to put together, not difficult.Batteries lasted very well - yes cutting through branches with the saw blade uses more power than strimming grass but that was expected. We got a good 45 minutes of strimming grass on one battery, and around 30 minutes on tougher branches and brambles with the other.90 minutes battery recharge is accurate too.Great selection of blades/accessories.Very glad I bought this and would not hesitate to buy it again.Highly recommend.

Brilliant strimmer/brushcutter
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE 23 April 2024I am so impressed with my awesome strimmer (weed destroyer), I have put it through its paces over the last week or so, cutting down, thick stinging nettles, thick docks, and burdocks and it has made short work of them all. The battery life for the small battery is about 30 mins and the big battery is about an hour. I have cleared 9 big field fence lines and fence line around the school. I am over the moon, worth every penny. :-) (My favorite blades are the fixed pointy plastic blade and pointy metal blades. I haven't needed to use the saw blade yet.)I bought this strimmer/brush cutter for clearing nettles, docks, burr-dock, brambles, blackberry bushes, and other stuff in my horse's fields. At the moment I have to work when it's dark because it gets dark so early, so all done using my headtorch. So sorry about the poor viewing of the video. I am chuffed to bits with my strimmer, it makes short work of well-established mature nettles. (Using the white double-ended plastic blade) Due to the time of year, I haven't tackled anything else. The battery life is around 30 minutes for the small battery and you get 2 batteries which is great. It is fully adjustable (being 5.3", I need a short strimmer). It is easy to put together as I watched the video the supplier has on Amazon. The battery takes 90 minutes to charge. I am so impressed with this trimmer and I love you don't have to wind strimmer wire around a spool. I should also mention, customer services have been amazing, and cannot praise them enough for all their help when I needed some guidance. 100% 5 starts from me.

Excellent Product
Excellent Product I have used it on my allotment to control weeds and grass used both metal and Red Strimmer Blades. The Red plastic strimmers are excellent and the use time after fully charged is very good. I have not ordered anything from the company website yet so not sure how easy to get replacement blades etc. That is the only reason not given 5 stars. Value for money is brilliant and the product is so easy to use.

Motor burned out after 10 minutes of light work around the lawn
The media could not be loaded. It's nice and light, has enough power for light garden work. But on my first time really using it, I got most of the way around the lawn before I got a smell of burning plastic and saw the smoke coming from the motor.
