Why is deep pour epoxy so expensive?

Because it is designed to handle thicker pours, which requires a specialized formulation of the resin and hardener to ensure that the epoxy resin is clear, UV resistant, bubble-free, and doesn't overheat during curing.

What is the thickest you can pour epoxy resin?

It depends on various factors, including the type of epoxy, the temperature, the humidity, and the size of the project. Typically, deep pour epoxy can be poured up to 2 inches thick in large molds and up to 4 inches thick in small molds.

What is the difference between deep pour epoxy and regular epoxy?

Deep pour epoxy resin allows thicker pours than regular epoxy, making it ideal for projects like river tables, countertops, and flooring.

Why does my deep pour resin crack after curing?

Cracking usually occurs when the resin is poured too thick in a single layer or exposed to high temperatures. To prevent this, stay within the recommended pour depth and maintain a stable room temperature during curing.

What are the ideal conditions for curing deep pour resin?

Maintain a room temperature of 73–78°F to prevent overheating. Keep humidity below 50–60% RH for proper curing. Ensure good ventilation by working near a window, using air conditioning, or an air purifier.
