Turning Tables: Six Lessons You Need to Unlearn

New perspective-so liberating
I will read it again. My heart opened up more to relaxingly trust in the God who IS love and accordingly does everything in love, even when dealing with sin. God loves us so much and therefore hate when sin destroys us. He loves us with an eternal love. He will always love us and will never leave us.

Persuasive and Pertinent
Steve Mcvey’s latest book, Turning Tables, takes its title from the account of Jesus doing just that in his response to the misuse of the Temple. A similar passion propels this prolific author to challenge the misguided image of God, perpetrated in much of religion today. It is not a rant. It is a well-reasoned, well-referenced, persuasive argument that God is a much maligned and misrepresented deity. He builds a powerful case for a God whose all-consuming attribute is love and whose heart is bent towards restoration, not retribution. The book is an invitation to feast at the upturned tables groaning with goodness and grace.

Brilliant!
Steve McVey is spot on! His analysis of scripture proves that God is not the angry retributive God that the church has used to control the masses using fear.

Instantly I am taken to a higher level in my Christ Quest
I have read all 3 of Steve's Quantum books, as well as Beyond an Angry God. Each of them continue to impact me long after reading them. I am already in the process of re-reading them all. Right from the Introduction of Turning Tables I could tell, this was going to be another significant advancement in my Christ Quest. Steve always leads me into seemingly scary questions, that inevitably end up deepening my understanding of God's Love for me.

A clear and pure message!
Often we end up "talking past each other" when we don't understand the very basics of the definitions of words and concepts. I really appreciate this book that clearly communicates the original and accurate meaning of very important concepts that form our perspectives about God. Thank you Steve...this book is very much needed!

Clarity & Affirmation
"You have heard it said, but I say unto you..." Jesus said that several times. It still needs to be said. This easy read book uncovers religious beliefs that hang a very dark cloud over the completed, finished work of the cross.

Outstanding Book
Steve McVey does an incredible job of shedding the light of grace on the religious dogma many of us have been immersed in for decades. Turning Tables peels off layers in incorrect, religious teaching regarding the character of God and exposing the truth that He's a loving father and not a judge ready to punish all of our legal infractions. Even the skewed ideas of sin & repentance we've been taught are clarified under the lens of grace.
