Poor condition
This RC surfer was marked as new, when it arrived the box was in bad shape and there were electrical repairs made on the inside of the unit. Once tried on the water, it would only go straight, the surfer would not turn. This item will be returned.

Works great in the waves off the San Diego Coast .Big or small Waves and blows peoples minds when they see it in the tube .

Fun Toy, but get the extra battery
Works great in the bay and calm waters, not so good once some waves start kicking up. Battery life is very short. All in all, still a lot of fun.

Fun Fun Fun
We had a ton of fun with the Surfer this summer in both lakes and at the shore. Defintely take care of him though... there is some maintenance required if you want him to last.

This Toy is lots of Fun!!!
I just got my Board Sharks R/C surfer.. I love it... Easy to control and it rips the little waves with it's body rotation components.. Very fun toy to take out to the reef, or beach breaks on a small surf day...On the negative side.. The battery doesn't last too long about 20 to 25 minutes..If you are planning on using it alot, you might want to invest on an extra battery.. Also, this toy requires a fair amount of maintenance, and propellers brake easily, so it's important that you run it on deep enough water..(it comes with 2 extra propellers), but investing in getting some extra ones it's probably a good idea...Overall, it's a delicate but super fun toy!!! This little dude can rip..and get some air too!!!!

Inoperable
This surfer looks like fun but it came to me with a defective steering system. It would only run in a straight line due to a gear problem in the steering box. One of the gears is not aligned with the driver and spins freely..no way to repair ...thus NO CONTROLS..... Phoned the customer service number provided and they informed me that the toy was no longer being manufactured...and probably for good reason..and there was nothing that could be done now I also note on this page that Amazon deems it UNAVAILABLE. I am extremely disappointed.

Awesome product
I purchased the RC Surfer through Miss Allie's Attic. I just wanted to say this product was the best out of three different radio controlled surfer toys i have owned in the past 4 years. Awesome product, awesome service! Thank you

PLEASE BE CAREFUL
We purchased this toy for our boys and they were playing with it in our pool when it exploded, the compartment that holds the battery blew off and the screws came flying out at my sons face!!! THIS TOYS IS VERY DANGEROUS!! we had no warning anything was wrong, they were just using it in our pool so it wasnt run for a long time, they played with it for apx 10 min when this happened!!! PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS>>> I am not able to contact the company at this time :(
