Bandai Hobby Gundam GP-01/Fb Gundam 0083" 1/60 - Perfect Grade

If you're a seasoned Gundam model builder who has been looking for a more satisfying kit to build, Perfect Grade kits were established as the pinnacle of Bandai's model kit engineering, and the GP01/Fb is a beautiful example of their work. After doing some research and asking for suggestions from other Gunpla building friends, I settled on the GP01 because 0083 was my entry point into the franchise, and the design is my favorite to this day. If you have some reservations due to the age of the kit (nearly 13 years) like I did, be prepared to be pleasantly surprised.It might be a bit overwhelming for PG initiates, there are 41 individual runners and many parts have multiple duplicates since you'll also be building the conversion parts for the Full Burnern (engrish translation alert) upgrades. Each stage of the kit involves a lot of gate trimming and cleanup, but if you enjoy taking your time and admiring the engineering of the inner frame and how each part fits together, you'll be impressed with the final results. A die-cast hip joint for added stability that lends it a nice, solid heft. Being able to display either version of the GP01 along with a full-scale maintenance hangar (which doubles as a stand for the unused parts) is an excellent bonus that none of the other PG kits have. For the gimmick-obsessed like myself, the GP01 features spring shocks in the heels, a spring-loaded collapsing shield, spring-loaded verniers on the Fb's shoulders, and LEDs (powered by a 1220 battery not included) that light up the eyes and head camera.While time might have passed many of the earlier kits by, I think this one holds up beautifully and recommend it with no reservations except a warning that in Fb mode, the extensions for the heels can be a bit unwieldy since they aren't really well supported by pistons or ratchets. It'd really suck for this to take a shelf-dive, the thruster backpack is pretty top-heavy even with the die-cast hip joint to balance it out.A quick suggestion - If you don't own some, you'll want to buy a sharp flush-cutter to remove parts from the runners, and use a sharp hobby knife to trim the sprues. Many of the parts are delicate and you'll have a much easier time removing them this way without damaging them. I wouldn't suggest using the rubbish part separator that comes included with some MG kits.

A tremendously fun kit of my first and one of my favorites Gundams. Upon taking it out of the box, I was met with a challenging yet engaging build; one of which I was engrossed for hours. One criticism I would levy towards the kit is the LED building section. It was very finicky for me, I unfortunately spend quite a while trying to keep the light on without holding on to the head unit. Nonetheless, I would recommend this wholeheartedly to anyone wanting to get into the next step with Perfect Grades. I also want to give special mentions to the seller, Galactic toys and games, for sending over the model kit in near pristine condition.

The gold standard of the perfect grade line. This model is the last in the line of the super detail kits produced by Bandai before the line was switched to a more style over substance approach. The Perfect Grade models that followed this release, while still great, pale in comparison when it comes to internal and external detail. I've built two over the years, both fully sanded, prepped and painted to a high degree and in my humble opinion still looks the best.This model is not for the inexperienced. While the assembly is easy, as no glue is required, the sheer amount of parts make it daunting even for the expert modeler.

Came on time and primable with free shipping. Kit is great with little to no flashing like all Gundam kits. Definitely not for beginners for those who are curious.

まだ作り途中ですが、GP01本体が完成したので書いています。組み立ては墨入れ、部分塗装以外は素組になりますが、墨入れと部分塗装だけでもかなり化けるキットかと思います。ガンダムベースで素組で組まれていた展示品を見た時は玩具感な見え方が強かったのですが一工夫入れるだけでかなり締まって見えます。初めてPGを組み立てているのですが…このキットを作ってみたらまた作りたくなりました。残りFb用のコアファイターとメンテナンスデッキの組み立てを今頑張っていますがディスプレイ用のデッキベースを買って背景を付けて飾ろうかと思っています。

あるかたのYouTubeレビューを見て購入しました。とてもかっこよく実物のガンダムフルバーニアンがあるようだと言っていましたがまさにその通りです。ロボット魂のフルバーニアンも予約していますがパーフェクトグレードと比べるとリアリティーにちかけるのでロボット魂とは違う楽しみ方をしたいので購入しました。塗装は部分塗装のスグミですがめちゃくちゃかっこいいです。ジオン残党をふるえあがらせるのがわかります。発売日から何年も立っていますがまったく古さを感じさせないパーフェクトグレードフルバーニアンオススメです。0083見たくなりますよ。
