The hook and loop three straps are perfect. The shoes tends to be narrow. The soles are rigid. I added extra layers of memory foam cushions and they then feel better. They worn very quickly, and there are about to have holes in the bottom soles now after about only 200 miles of walking at about 3 miles per hour by a 145 lb old man over the past 10 months.

Had bad foot issues until I found these shoes. Now no problems. Easy to use, last a long time and even my wife and son recommend them. Including both the white and black colors, I have bought 8 pairs over the last ten years. Hard to find but worth the price.

This shoe company (also seemingly known as Aetrex) makes fine shoes. I have 4 pairs, two of which are near their end and 2 others that are for church and such things. I wanted another pair for around the house, since I have to wear orthotics.... These are at least one size smaller than the stated size. I wear 15 wide in all their other shoes....

three straps are holding up much better than the two strap shoes where the velcro is already peeling off the strap after 30 days. The Apex shoes feel a tad stiffer but seem to be the best quality over the New Balance, Xelero, and Dr.Zen velcro shoes.

This is my third pair, but first time at lower price from Amazon. Excellent value same great quality. I have diabetic Nerophothy of my feet so vey important that the shoe gives comfort.

For me with arthritis in my feet, i couldn't walk safely without these. Make sure you get your width right and maybe go up a half size (you can always exchange them) to be sure of a good toe fit, that way you can try different insoles to get a well padded comfortable sole.

My son needs a shoe with an arch. These shoes feel great on his feet, so he says.
