This has on/off and dimmer buttons on it in case I louse the remote.
This is a really good dimmer switch. I've had it a few months with no problems. It has on/off and dimmer buttons on the main box in case I louse the remote I can still turn it on and off and dim the lights if I want to.I recommend this over the ones that don't have the buttons on the main box.Update, 3/18/19 - I'm still using this remote/dimmer. I've used it everyday since I got it April, 20 / 2018.My Problem Now is: I want to buy another one just like it, so I went to my orders to make it easy to find it and reorder it, But, Amazon changed it. The one on my orders page is not the same one that I bought before. It doesn't have the buttons on the main box. It's Just Like the one that cost about $7.00. At the time I bought the one I have it cost about $17.00.Here is one I found from another store. works great but came with a ghost
The controller and remote work just fine but there must be some sort of ghost or demon, as the lights they are wired into will suddenly turn on, as if by magic (or evil spirits looking to drain your car battery). I only need this for rear lights in my overland kitchen, so when not out overlanding I just leave one of the power cables out... problem solved. I assume it has something to do with the remote frequency and getting triggered by something else in my vehicle or neighborhood.

Remote quit working less than 1 month in; missed return window
The item I received is different than the current stock photo (as of 11/27/18), I bought mine on 10/21/18, and the remote stopped controlling the lights less than 1 month in. Due to Thanksgiving, the return was put on the back burner, but I didn't realize I missed the return window... I'm not a fan of 1 star reviews, but for this price it should have lasted way longer!
