This fan is FANtastic!
If I could give this fan 10 stars, I would. The output is amazing on LOW, so it's really good when on medium or high. It does make noise, but that's 75% of the reason we buy a fan. Or maybe 95%. But the noise is a good brown noise range, and not annoying or hard to sleep with. The remote works well, and it's a good solid fan with only off and on and three speeds and a timer. I haaaaaaate having all the ridiculous options on a fan like breeze or trees or whatever. We just want a fan that has good output and makes good background noise to sleep to, and this one is PERFECT. Easy to assemble, and it's going to be easy to take the cage apart to clean the blades when necessary. 10/10 - highly recommend!

Surprisingly Well Made & Powerful
Wow, I'm shocked that this is as robust as it is for the price, and so far (it's been about a month), I have only one minor complaint. PROS: + Fan is CRAZY strong. Super impressed. One second it's all muggy and the air feels like a nest of boa constrictors languishing on your tan tropical shoulders - next minute? - SCHWAMMMPAMPAMPAMWAHHH! Pakaa, the Hawaiian god of the window, is screaming silently into the room (like the scene in the Mummy where the sandstorm rises to devour the plane) and all the boas have been blown a block away. + Construction quality is A+. I don't say this lightly. Almost the entire fan is made out of solid, seemingly quality metal parts. + Remote is an unexpectedly useful feature for someone who is physically disabled and works reliably from 6' away, as long as it's exactly pointed at the receiver, on the same horizontal plane. CONS: - The one part that noticeably *isn't* metal, for some strange reason, is the threading of some key components. So when I was attempting to set up the stacked rotary components, I nearly stripped part of the threading and couldn't take the part off later when breaking it down later. This ended up being a minor thing - after all, you don't need to disassemble it often, if ever. But it could have been broken very easily at this juncture. Note: Make sure you have a screwdriver (ideally not a drill) to securely attach the rotary head to the stand. Everything else is pretty self-assembling, but for the head to stay attached to the stand and not separate when you pick it up, you will need a screwdriver. We didn't have a screwdriver so did a Hail Mary and used a drill as gently as possible. This was risky with the plastic threading but it got the job done. Immediately bought a second one, based on the quality of the first and the inevitability of climate change.

PELONIS 16'' Pedestal Fan is a good purchase.
PELONIS 16'' Pedestal Fan for Bedoom, Remote, Standing Fan with 7-Hour Timer, 90° Oscillation, 3-Speede, Adjustable Height, Electric Cooling Fans for Living Room and Office. Small (16") but mighty. Great air flow and relativaly quiet at all three speeds. Nice heavy base for sability.

PFS40A4BBB Review
It's ok. It's cheap. Cheap fan. cheap price. You can tell they cut corners everywhere they could so I assume the "guts" are cheap too. Came in a tiny beat up box but everything inside was ok. Really surprised they could get all that stuff in that box. Some assembly required. Putting it together was easy, just needed a phillips screw driver. Little thing like the clamps that hold on the fan guard are stiff to move and cheap. The cord has about a foot left on it after it hangs down and hits the floor. No batteries for the remote ( You'll need 2 AAA). The Fan nut that holds on the fan blade has plastic threads (go easy). Took a quick look and there are no parts available for sale. Although I guess you can buy the remote from another vendor at over half or what the whole fan costs new. There's a fuse in the plug, didn't check if there's a spare in there. My money is on there isn't. I'm use to a knob on the side to set the angle of the fan. This just has a screw, hang onto that screw driver. I've read you can just "click it" to set the angle but it feels kinda cheap to be pushing on lol. This thing DOES blow air. That's the point right? Even on low it's a little hurricane. Not very quiet. Are fans ever quiet? The black color actually does look cool, but that black blade will really show the dirt/dust, so I'll be cleaning that a lot and hoping the plastic threads on the blade retaining nut hold up. Remote works fine. It is what it is. Hope it lasts a year. Over all it's fine. I doubt it will last a very long time. Remote is cool, it blows a ton of air, I'm good with it for the price. I'd happily pay more for a better quality product. Wife had it here before I even knew we were getting one ;) Made in China Added 10-4-25: Had this thing like a year and a half now and it's still working fine. We pretty much run it year round. The plastic nut with it's plastic threads did eventually strip taking the fan blade off to wash it. It has reverse threads so if you forget and try and turn it like you would a regular nut it's very easy to strip. I did find replacement fan nuts on the internet somewhere. We don't use the oscillating feature so I don't know about how that holds up.

Powerful fan!
It's a great and powerful fan and I love it! This one has a remote control as well as controls on the fan. It oscillates or not as you choose. Much more powerful than the fans from Walmart. Very pleased with this fan!

Feel the breeze 15-20 feet away!
Has worked very well, going on two years. I love the remote control. You do hear a moderate fan humming so it might not be good for light sleepers. I actually use it in other rooms for better circulation than a ceiling fan for hot Arizona afternoons.

I like it more than the Dyson!
So glad I got this fan! Between the price and overall 4.5-star score, I figured I may as well give it a try. As I had hoped, it’s surprisingly quiet (major bonus points) and is so effective that we don’t have to turn on the AC during this mini heatwave we’re having. I’ve already had family and friends who have come over and want to buy one because of how good it is! Love the remote control (takes two AAA) and three levels of oscillation. Instructions were a little confusing but easy enough to assemble. I even like it more than our pricey Dyson. Go figure. As for some reviews about the smell, it had the faintest odor of crayons, but it went away after turning it on. Highly recommend!

Good fan, but didn’t last
I really liked this fan. It is very powerful for its size and moves a lot of air… Just super disappointed that it didn’t last a year before dying. I’ve had my other Pelonis stand fan for more than a decade and it’s still going strong after being subjected to far more extreme conditions (left outside [under cover] for months, left in a hot Texas garage for months, constantly on for months if not years…)
